| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/10/2008 2:36:09 PM | Not all fans were for it, even now, you still get the odd balls that think its a good thing, i remember cringing when i heard we were being bought. Utd fans still oppose glazier, they are just not as vocal right now, however, they support our cause in most cases... that in itself says something. A fair few UTD fans cancelled their season tickets in protest of Glazier, what happened? someone else just snapped them right up.... we now know that isnt the way to go. They have lied from the get go....
there is a boycott at the club at the moment, regular fans buy nothing from the ground, no club merchandise, no beverages or pies at half time... no match programs. (saves me a fortune, its also my 5 year olds first game on sat!)
there is also a group, Liverpool supporters group, Spitit of Shankly, there is a protest at the end of every game, though now i expect it to take place at ½ time. not sure havent heard yet...

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/11/2008 11:56:10 AM | i have never been to England.
were i to go someday, my first place to visit would be Anfield (the temple of the british football as we call it here in Spain)
it pisses me off and makes me fume to hear that Old Trafford is the theatre of dreams dreams! what dreams! those silly Red Devils would not scare a child in the middle of the night!
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/11/2008 5:15:19 PM | I wasn't able to watch the game because I was at work, but I followed it on Matchcenter on UEFA.com (Like I always do). Doesn't help that games start at 12:45pm here in Calgary!
I'm going to watch it tonight at 10pm my time though. Not live and I already know the score, but who cares haha.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/11/2008 5:34:21 PM | | Well Liverpool goes through again.In my last post did I not say Torres. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/19/2008 10:04:02 AM | | I'd love to see Roma have another crack Liverpool after they beat us in the final back in the 80s. LFC are a great club, my fav player from their squad has to be mascherano at the moment, very solid in the midfield. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/23/2008 1:36:34 PM | what happened to torres!?!? 3-0 lol

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/23/2008 2:41:46 PM | They were outclassed today for sure. Mascherano being sent off for not shutting up didn't help either. I didn't hear about the Ashley Cole deal, but they're cracking down on dissent now? In a way that's pretty good, because people just talk too much crap on the field.
Anyway, like I said before. They were outclassed today. But hopefully this summer will bring in some world class players!
The Arsenal/Chelski game was entertaining, I fell asleep in the 1st half (because I had to be up at 7am to watch the LFC/Man U game), but it got really entertaining in the 2nd half.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 10:55:53 AM | Mascherano was just stupid. The FA should increase his ban to 3 games. It was just a pitiful display. Great signing Rafa. Guess Rafa's rotation policy let him down again. Jez? | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 11:26:40 AM | Yeah & you'd know all about players being stupid. It's because of Man Boohoo & Chelski players that this rule has been brought in. Even Fergie the crying mantis is always having a pop at the officials.
Take a look back a couple of weeks when they whined about a tackle that wasn't even in one of their games. No wonder they're the most hated team in Britain (along with Chelski)
Whenever something goes against them it's a crowd of players that start moaning at the ref.
The worst being Gary Neville. Thank God he's been injured this long, hopefully he'll retire injured.
Make the most of Fergie being in charge, because as soon as he's gone that'll be it. Take at look at Chelsea before AND after Mourinho moved on.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 11:54:55 AM | ^^^Man Boohoo, sheeeeesh, take a look at yourself^^^ lol
this from a man who says Joey Barton for England!?!?.
next you'll be telling me Stephen Gerrard doesn't dive.

Just for the record, I do like Liverpool. I like Man City and Everton too. And I do support them, just not when they play Man U. The players have to learn to accept the ref's decision and show respect. If a Man U player did the same thing as Mascherano, I wouldn't defend his actions. Mascherano had no business even "asking" the ref, he's not the captain. Joey Barton for England?! Please. You might as well just play with 10 men, as Barton would either get sent off or be in jail in the first place.

Oh that's okay then, but why Everton
this from a man who says Joey Barton for England!?!?.
The reason I mentioned Joey Barton is because he the English equivalent of Roy Keane. Strong, Determined a good leader by example & knows how to win a ball.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 2:01:34 PM | Well since I'm originally from Manchester, I like teams in that area. Joey Barton is nothing like Roy Keane. I think you just offended every irish and man u fan with that comment. That's like me comparing Aaron Lennon to Kenny Dalgleish. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 2:04:03 PM | | Joey Barton!?!? a good leader by example!?!? lol | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 2:40:38 PM | Barton like Keane has got a will to win, not sscared to go in knowing it could hurt & usually does (his opponents anyway).
That's what the English team needs is players with passion & a will to win, no idiots who would rather turn up get their pay & walk out not caring about the club, country or their fans.

No argument on that point. I hope Cabbage Man can change that. He has the pedigree and experience. It's nice to see him bringing in some new players. Please get rid of Ashley Cole Cabbage Man!
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 2:58:05 PM | i've heard Joey likes a cigar or two, while assulting his fellow team-mates in training.
what a good leader by example!?!?

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/24/2008 3:07:23 PM | He's just a moron, City couldn't wait to pawn him off on someone. Luckily, Big Sam was willing to oblige. | |

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/25/2008 3:20:49 AM | As this league campaign is now over for us. Who does Rafa need to buy (sensibly) to give us a chance of actually challenging for the title next season. Anyone else utterly fed up of being seemingly two players away from the title every year for the last few years?
Personally, we still need players for both flanks, a left back, and a striker. Anyone got £60 million just laying around?
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/25/2008 5:20:49 AM | The situation is not so dire. What hurts is the rotation policy, it leaves alot of people scratching their heads. Crouch should be playing with Torres, they can and do compliment each other. Kuyt and Voronin should go as neither are any good. Babel can and will become a good player, he just needs a bit of time, he's only young. Benayoun is a good player and can play wide but has a tendancy to drift inside. Hypia has been a great player but he is getting old, so Rafa needs to sign a centre-half. So Rafa needs to sign a striker, a wide player, a centre-half and a left back. | |
