| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive?
Posted: 4/6/2005 10:31:00 AM | I can't deal with either. When I see a woman with a bunch of piercings, it's as if I expect her to have an STD or Hep C. or something. It's a visceral involuntary response, but the result is that I just keep going when I see them on an otherwise pretty woman.
For tatoos, I figure that either they don't have a college degree, or identify culturally and intellectually with those who don't. There are plenty of social settings where visible tattoos are a hindrance. Too, I find all of them to be a disfigurement, and looks are of some importance to me on a woman. Certainly, character, intelligence, and inclination to have children are highly important to me as well. However, if someone commits a permanent act(by getting a tatoo) that I consider indicates they probably have deep, probably irreconcilable core differences with me, it's really best if we never consider each other as possible mates.
Sure, it's unfair, but in the mating game, it's important to be able to play the odds, to be able to make snap judgements that have a decent chance of being correct and saving precious time sifting through candidates. | |

There are all forms of expression. Opinion being one of them. I'm pierced in 6 different places, none of them visible or deptermental to my profession. I have two tats,,both tasteful and discreet. I'm 48 years old and my "art" is 4 years new. So it wasn't a result of my "crazy younger days". As a matter of fact, it was a result of so many trying to put me in their BOX!!
Oh and by the way,,I am college educated, have no STD's or Hep c, and don't hang out with prisioners,,,

i have my belly button pierced & 2 tatts...one on my shoulder & 1 on my breasts
i love them & my ex's have loved them,but if i met a guy who doesnt like them then he isnt 4 me as they come along with me & im not getting rid of them cause 1 man doesnt like them..........dream on xx | |

me thinks he needs to open his eyes a bit more, and come out to play in the real world, and remove this head from his a$$, not that he isn't permitted to judge whomever however he pleases.....but if Science wants to go on first visual impressions only I think he's missing out on a whole lot

Posted: 4/6/2005 11:27:28 AM | i guess i've just seen too many of them. if i find a woman who doesn't have one, i appreciate the rarity of the find. most of you here may have gone and gotten your tattoo to express yourself as an individual, but you have to understand these lower back tribal tats are becoming a fad among women these days.
i can accept most of what all of you ladies have said and for the most part respect your decisions and reasoning. i just feel you might want to think of a fad you never liked and then understand how i feel about this topic. | |

But this includes smoking, drinking in excess, eating poorly, exercising too little, not getting enough sleep, tanning, and numerous other things.
