| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 7/28/2005 9:29:53 AM | | i think tatoos can be neat sometimes, but i'd never get one. I'm going to be old one day, and have kids and I want to be a good example for them. I don't want to have to tell them, well I was really drunk one night and it seemed like a really good idea. I personally don't usually date guys with tatoos, it's kind of a juvenile thing. Although, I don't avoid them, if he's really cool then whatever. But, i say screw it, enjoy your skin the way it is. It's not gonna stay that way forever. | |

I've had my ink for quite a while and it's holding up very well. I'm going to be a cool old granny with my tats. I'll be all like "Yeah, I remember way back when I was a young rocker girl in New York City...." all the kids will gather 'round and listen to crazy old granny's stories of long ago. When I'm old I'll still be me. I'm almost 40 and been into this "thing" for well over 20 years. I'm not going to wake up and be a banker tomorrow!
I was also completely sober and put a lot of thought into the ones I have. Tattoos are no longer just for drunk sailors y'know.

A well thought out backpiece, sleeve or half sleeve on a woman is a real huge turn-on for me. Not many women have the courage to commit to this type of sub-culture. If you don't like women with tattoos, then don't date them, if you do like tattoos on women, then date them.

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 12/27/2006 1:29:09 AM | | Hi I am a single mom and I have 2 tatts that i thought long and hard about putting on my body knowing that they would become a piece of me. On of my tatts are on my upper right arm and is about 4 inches high and 4 inches wide. The other is on my thigh. Both of my tatts can be covered when it is not appropriate to show and one is always covered. Both have alot of meaning for me and there is about 8 years difference in them. If People are going to judge you on your tatts then, men, by all means do that. Tatts dont make the person and just because females now get them does not make us unfeminine or butchy or someone not holdong a good job. I am in management, my employer has seen the tatt on my arm and loves it. It shows something about people that put time and thought into what art they are going to have and to make such a commitment to have it on your body for the rest of your life is a huge risk not many take. Tatts that are well done and nicely placed are sexy and provocative. You know she is thinking outside the box instead of being some barbie doll, plastic surgeon loving, wanna be so she can become arm candy to a man. If we all had Blonde Hair and blue eyes, a pair of double d's, and had the waist the size of a hand how boring would that be. | |

Posted: 12/27/2006 1:37:01 AM | I have 9 piercings and 2 tattoos (currently) 2 eyebrow (left) 1 vertical labret, and a messload of ear piercings. I find them beautiful, and fun to play with mostly. I really don't care if people (men and women) find them attractive or not. It's a part of my personality, and a way to express myself through exhilirating experiences.
If a guy is attracted to me solely because I have them, that's unfortunate, because there's so much more to me. If a guy who is not attracted to tattoos finds me attractive, but can't look past the tattoos and piercings, it's his loss. If a guy likes me for me, but hates my piercings, but can look past them, It's not going to work out in the long run because I will be getting more tattoos, and possibly more piercings.
I've had experiences where a guy really liked me, and set about getting to know me and really liked my personality, my lifestyle, everything....until he found out I had tattoos, and grew completely uninterested within minutes. Again I say, too bad for them.
Also, inked men are extremely attractive to me, I'm not sure why, it's always been this way ever since I was little. But guys without ink can be just as attractive. I don't see a difference.

Like different cultural aesthetics, but *sub*-cultural. I've seen anthropological documentaries that reveal just how true the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" really is. Are teeth painted black attractive? Are fairly large wooden discs inserted into slits in the lower lip attractive? How about men who paint their faces up and flash their eyes like women when trying to score a mate? I don't think so, but their are tribes and peoples out there from whom such stuff as this is IT. It's what does it for them.
In the Middle Ages the ideal woman had a few extra pounds on her, now a days it is skinny, big breasted and no hips. NO HIPS?!?!? If there ever was a definitive area of the body, gender wise, the around the hips area would be it. Men have slender hips. And anyone can grow boobs these days.
But, you know, different strokes ... for different folks.
