| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 9/5/2007 5:13:26 PM | If a girl has the right tattoos, in the right places, it can make her look even more gorgeous than she might already be. Kat Von D, is living proof of this. She'd be cute without the tattoos, but nowhere near as hot as she is with them. I personally find having something like a tramp stamp(lower back tattoo), to be overdone, and unoriginal, because they generally always involve one or more of the following...
Birds, hearts, flowers, vines, wings, angels, the girl's name, a sexual innuendo, and rainbows.
Girls, avoid those if you're thinking about getting a tattoo, because it's very unoriginal. I like a girl who has arm sleeves done, and shoulder wraps attached to this, are very hot. Also, torso wraps(e.g. vines winding from your hip all the way around your body up to your shoulderblade, and ribcage tattoos(e.g. a star motif up the side of your body from hip to under your arm), are nice to see. Do your homework before you get ink done, and look at tattoo mags to see what kind of work can be done, and find types that may look good on you.
As for piercings, I see all these stupid people, who seem to think that a tongue ball, makes you magically good at oral, and thus, more appealing. Believe me, I've had lots of bad head from girls like that. Image is nothing, technique is everything. Much like the tramp stamp, this is way overdone. Also Marilyn Munroes(piercing where the mole would be), only look good on select few women, so I'd strongly discourage them. Nose piercings, are overdone, and nipple piercings, are all fine and good, as long as you're okay with having a multi-directional spray, and/or duct blockages, when lactating and breastfeeding in the future.
As for piercings in the nether regions... WHY?!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY?!!! First off, they hurt like a motherf*cker, and secondly, if you ever have a baby, an epesiotomy, or tearing, will likely end them. Thirdly, what's the point of having it, if you can't show it off?
That's just how I see it though. Feel free to disagree, and do as you will. It's your body, and I don't have to deal with the consequences of your actions. If anything, I will be able to laugh if I see you with a body mod that looks ridiculous on you...especially if you're proud of it, and showing it off.

How would you know how much they hurt?
I'm not sure why you think having a baby, an episiotomy (the perineum), or tearing (usually the perineum) is going to "end" a genital piercing, considering most are hood rings. Would you say the same for navel rings? Majority of women end up removing theirs after they start showing in their pregnancies, and we all know how common those are.
Thats a perk of piercings. They aren't permanent. Things happen, you remove them. Whatever.
I also am not pierced or tattooed to "show off" anything. This is kind of like the hairless vs. landing strip vs. bush issue. I do what I like, and I select who sees it. What's the difference? I'm not going to grow a bush, nor am I gonna take my hood ring out just because nobody's lookin at it.

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 9/15/2007 1:34:08 AM | hey, each to there own Asoka..
i have 12 piercings and one tattoo (all piercings are visable by the way and tattoo is not exactly a tiny little rose on my ass cheek).
ok, not exactly everyone's cup of tea...but i fair few guys out there like it...
i strongly believe ur stereotyping people without getting to know them as a person inside...does it really matter what they look like on the outside?
i mean say u came across my profile yeh. u see me with my facial piercings and ur like 'OMG! hell no'...u havn't even given urself chance to speak to me to find out what i'm really like. i'm not looking for a relationship on here anymore but even if u were just searching for talk/email or friendship i think u'd still react the same way.

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 9/15/2007 1:46:34 AM | I think either tats or piercing are great as long as they are done with taste.
I have several tats and 2 earrings and I found a belly ring is a turn on for me.
I would rather seek out a woman with them before I would one without. Like I said though as long as they are done with style and taste and done right. Both are a turn on for me as long as they DON'T look like a jail house tat then they become in poor taste black and gray tats if done right will look just as good if not better then the color ones.
I know most guys like the lower back tat and that is fine very OVER DONE be original and when you have them done please make sure there is a meaning or something special behind the tat

Posted: 9/15/2007 2:29:03 AM | i am not a big fan of tatoos and piercings on womens i date. i once dated a girl who was very pretty but she was very much into the whole piercings and tatoos thing. i always date someone not based on things like that but if theyre a good person or not. this girl was a real nice girl and we got along real good even tough i am not into tatoos and piercings. personally if i really like a girl its not gonna stop me from dating her but i do prefer womens without them.most girls i have dated werent into that.but this girl i dated was one of the nicest girls i ever met so it goes to show to not judge anyone by theyre fashion choices.

Ahhh, but the boys who pierce their nether regions have an advantage because it completely and totally adds to what the lady feels. Those of you who know, know. A moment of pain for a lifetime of pleasure. Who can argue? And the piercing experience itself can be very intoxicating itself. Endorphins galore.
btw, I have no piercings other than ears. Took out my nosering about 12 yrs ago.

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 9/21/2007 3:54:40 AM | If someone needs to have tattoos or body piercings to feel good about themselves and to recognize their identity that way , than I truly feel sorry for these people. Its an obvious fad and the irony is the more these so called tat people say it gives them a sense of personal meaning the more it looks like to me people just following a silly fad. I am very libertarian and welcome women to do whatever they want with their body if thats their thing..... even if their thing is marking up their body to be more masculine . Oh and by the way I am a guy and I would never get a tattoo . | |

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/15/2007 7:25:56 AM | Tattoos on women started mainly with a cute little flower or butterfly on a breast or buttock and have since developed into the most horrendous form of self abuse/hate. How anybody can find these attractive I will never know. The level of self confidence and/or stupidity must be at an all time low. How crass it is, that anybody could disfigure their body like this is beggars belief. | |

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/15/2007 6:06:01 PM | Cymag....I'm sorry, stupidity and low level of self confidence? That comment is apparently accompanied by ignorance.
I have multiple tattoos and piercings. I am an educated man with a love for the way I am. Ink and metal are forms of expression. (I'm not including those who have tats that are chosen out of a book or on a wall) My ink happens to have meaning for me...turning points in my life that have made me who I am.
Do you have pierced ears? I havn't read your profile to find out if you're male of female...frankly I'm not interested. If you are male, does your wife wear make up? if she does, does that mean she has low self esteem? Are you over weight or do you work out? does either matter? If you keep in shape, does that mean you have low self esteem also? Do you have any trophies or first place ribbons? those are symbolic of accomplisments. as are my tattoos.
Self abuse is sitting on a couch eating twinkies when you're not hungry. Self abuse is doing drugs as a form of escape from reality.
to call someone stupid for expressing themselves is the reason why our youth is the way they are. God help your children (if you have any)

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/15/2007 9:47:41 PM | I do not. Tatoos are a fad that in years to come will be a huge medical expense removing them for most of those who chose to permanently scar themselves. Tatoos are gross! What's wrong with the skin God gave you? And, unless you're from some 3rd world tribe, I see no point, and your reasons hold no merrit, other than vanity, to purposely poke holes in yourself.
I won't hire a tatoo'd person to work for me. It represents a culture my customer's don't care for.

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/16/2007 4:37:38 PM | "so I took off my hat and said imagine that...me working for you."
Would you hire a black person?
My reasons for my ink ARE meritted. I survived cancer...I got a tattoo...I was in the marine corps...I got a tattoo showing brotherhood...I have two tats that symbolize the births of my children.
You'd be surprised how many people have tattoos that already work for you or are clients. To talk down to someone just because of their choice of expression is so closed minded, it reminds me of the Klan or the black panthers, or gay bashers.
I wouldn't hire you because you have a moustache. It's not hygenic.

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/16/2007 7:22:16 PM | I'd love to be able to take my many body-painting ideas and make them permanent... not just light airbrushed paint across my skin for a few days.
Alas.. I don't have the job security (yet) or the money... or decided what particular design I'd want forever...
Hopefully before I'm thirty I'll have something amazing to show off... ^^
and hopefully people will be walking around with my work on their bodies.. someday

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/17/2007 7:23:00 AM | To each his, or her own. The thread asked how men felt about tatoos and body piercings, not your reasons for getting them. I'm sure your reasons in your opinion and just. And no, I would not hire you. When dealing with the public and putting your best face forward, trying to make a sale and life long customer, showing up with a display of body art thats purpleish, gray and gaudy, turns some people off. By the way, I have a full work force of dedicated people from all walks and races.
I hire people of decent character, that's all. I have hired men and women with tatoos. I give everyone an equal chance and pay them well. It's been my finding that a person with tatoos is more likely to miss work, come in late and find ways to avoid responsibility. Tatoos in my opinion, and just my opinion, represent a culture of individuals who want attention, or to be part of something to fit in.
I believe it's a fad that will again, in later years be a regrett by the folks who choose to permanently scar them selves. Picture this,,,,,
You are searching for a home improvement upgrade. A salesman comes to your house to sell you his companies products. At first impression you see that this guy is covered with tatoos of skulls, weird oriental images and the common snake or mystical creature that has no realistic reason. His prices are in the ball park, but the next guy is clean cut and his products are similar and prices are right also. Who'd you choose? And be honest.
My point is, you never get a second chance on a first impression. It's the way society interprets tatood people. I didn't establish it, it's just the truth.
Again, the thread asked my opinion. If you feel threatened by that, you've obviously got some issues with self esteem.

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/17/2007 12:00:37 PM | | I am in all stock form; I am exactly as I came from the factory. I feel people who are part of the current fad feel some kind of need to ornament themselves to either make themselves attractive to other's or even to themselves. The only other explanation would be to either be able to boast or brag of their ornamentations in their peer group. I myself believe in a very old saying, only a dead fish floats with the current. | |

| How many men here really find women with body piercing and tattoos atttractive? Posted: 10/17/2007 3:05:12 PM | I have never had self esteem issues. (well maybe as a teen) I've always been confident with who I am and what I look like, etc. I just take offense at judgemental people and some of their comments. I am extremely successful in my work in the Home improvement industry. (i'm guessing you have something to to with that field also based in your example) I have been recognized in national magazines and have multiple awards from the AAMA, NARI, PRO and others.
Last year I made over $19,000,000 in sales and installation. (yes, I also actually DO the work) And guess what? I have tattoos.
I never finished college (after my millitary service), But I will take on all comers in a game of trivial persuit.
As you said, the sight asked for your opnion on tattoos, not whether or not you thought that people with tattoos had self esteem issues or were just plain stupid..(or was that the other guy?)
Anyway, I don't believe tattoos are a fad. I think it will just keep growing. People have been getting tattoos since before WWI.
I respect anyone's opnion, what I don't respect is opnions that cross over into character judgement.
