OMG..who let this guy out?????? If it wasn't so hard to read his strung together sentence that doesn't make much sense (although I get the gist of it) I would be really really p#ssed right about now..

I simply get along better with people older than me in general.

I've never actually 'dated' someone younger than myself.

Hahahahahaha....come on out for a night of dancing with me then see if you can even stand up in the morning, let alone function!

Age is for sure a number; but it's what you can do with what you got that counts. I get the "little blue pill" comments from guys much younger all the time and I always wonder why?
I have never needed to try pills, have they?? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I am currently dating a wonderful Older guy. (older then me anyhoo) by nine years. NEVER have I had a date my age or younger open a car door for me, or get up to actually get me a coffee ect.. It's more of the GET IT YOURSELF attitude, in my personal experience with younger ones. Granted this can't be said about all younger men, but just the ones i've floundered upon..

ANYWAYS.. i think older guys rock!!!
AND i'm SURE some younger ones do too :)

LETS JUST ALL GET ALONG and say.. EVERYONE is PERFECT for someone :)

too bad they don't have the stamina and enthusiasm to make it worth it

When we get older and wiser we don't end up fumbling around like the younger guys

and who says we have no stamina, damn I think I am in better shape now than when I was in my 20's.

Experienced guys you need to get to know how much so they are, they been there, done that. The Young-Un's just haven't learnt how to play yet. By that I mean 20-30ish. 30ish to 45ish be experienced. Over 45 should be "Married With Children". The Young-Un's can be classy but not as much so. Some guys are just ***holes and need to be avoided at all costs.Age difference can make or break any meeting.

In the past, I have been with older men. At present, I find that most men older or even around my age are retired or in retirement mode. They don't have the energy level I seek, they don't have the enthusiasm for life, they don't still have that sense of wonder, the need for adventure. I guess I must adapt and become a Cougar.

^^^^^Musicnut...Just because a guy is younger doesn't mean he has no expieriance and hes probably open to learn more which is awesome...They usually try harder too..And your comment that the young-un's haven't learned to play.. Well what woman in her right man wants a player..Younger or older...I totally disagree with you...I recently just happened to meet a younger guy ..NOT at POF...on my own..,But funny he IS a POFER... But a very new newbie..He is the nicest man I have met in a very long time.. Even though hes alot younger...He has class..Strong values and morals...Has no baggage or hang ups...Just simply a nice young guy...Very respectful and so much fun...He's NOT one of those guys younger or older who just wants sex either..He's just a normal (Finally) guy who wants to meet great ppl for friends and if he wanted a relationship .. He would be taking his time...He takes his life and loves very seriously....We are friends now and because he is such a wonderful REAL guy with NO hidden agenda..I hope I will remain friends forever..As the older one I could possibly teach him some things...BUT even though he's younger...He could and "has" taught me many things..Younger or older... It really is just a number...Guys will be guys..It really is a matter of how they were raised to respect women (for the younger ones)...The older ones think they know it all and like to be the boss.. And have that baggage I really don't need..YOUNGER GUYS ROCK MY WORLD And I always have such fun with them...But as I said I'm not saying I wouldn't date an older guy...He would really have to be special with little or no baggage..And have NO jealousy issues...I like a man who is sweet and charming...younger guys are more sweet...The older guys seem to need to act macho just to prove they are a MAN...Sweetness goes alot farther in my book than an older dude going through that midlife crisis and trying to hook up with as many women as possible to prove to himself "He's the man" YA right...And to my newest younger friend if you read this..Your such a great man...Don't ever change.. Many guys could take valuable lessons from you in honesty, character ,values, and morals and even your sweetness..Personally I think it's sexy and a great quality to be sweet..It isn't a sign of weakness thats for sure... As this man is one of the strongest men I have met...It is a quality I admire and respect alot...Not many guys out there like that..It is a very rare quality...I hope he finds a woman worthy of him..I believe when he's ready.. Some lucky woman is going to find herself the grestest rare guy... and be very happy as he respects woman alot...To you younger guys who are mature and aren't into games and know how to treat a woman...I applaud you ..Younger or older really isn't difficult to figure it out for me...I think younger guys rock as long as they are mature and have a good head on their shoulders..Just my opinion anyways..Thanks for reading

Darkblonde if you dont think older guys have the energy level you are fishing in the wrong ponds because in my opinion I have more energy than most my younger friends even though I admit it has dropped since I was in my 30's

Age has nothing to do with energy level

^^^^^^ To be fair to Darkblonde above, she did say .. most.. older men, I have noticed that what she says is for the most part true of MOST over 45 guys and women for that matter.

I see so many people, much younger than myself with "one foot" in the grave. They seem to lack the energy to get out and DO!

Then they sit and complain that no one wants to go out with them........duh!

^^^^^Hell Tony You have more energy than most guys that are 25 my friend....And always the life of EVERY party too.. .....Sure glad noone picked on me for saying younger guys do it for me...What can I say?? Just being honest... But Tony if I was a bit older and had no hopes for the younger guy..You'd be my 1st choice hon.. Who couldn't love ya...I DO

Age doesn't really matter to me (to an extent)...it is all in how they act and how they just "are". Age is but a #. I tend to go older than myself, as my experiences on the "toyboy" side proved nasty & the continual partying, well..."YAWN"...wore this gal out! LOL I would say on average 30 - 45. Majority is 34 - 41 at the moment. I think that you can find childish 45 year olds, "settled" 28 year olds....it is all about the individual. I like people that are intellectual, have their sh*t together and know the basis of who and what they want out of life. No Sugar Daddies (ie: over 60)...No Metrosexual Toy Boys though! (late teens to early 20's!) ROTFL!!

That pretty much covers it. LMAO

I generally prefer to date someone 2-3 years older than me, provided he is still young-looking.

Under 25...how can he/she have any expereince?25-30,yuppers they can be fun to hang-out with but not long-term material. 30-35,all depends on the person,if they really "got it together",who knows. 35 and up the door is always open for more because thier can be "potential" if you "click". Younger women can be fun too, just can't really "click" with them. Older Women need to lighten-up a bit. Be as "friendly " as they like,as long as they like but no worries whatsoever.

^^^^^Buddy who's talking about anyone under 25..Now that would be robbing the cradle and I'm no cradle robber..Personally I prefer my men to be at least older than 30.. And as BC Gurl said beautifully...It's NOT an age thing as age IS only a number...It's a matter of how they are as ppl and what kind of person they are....ie... Morals and values and respect etc..I'm certainly not asking e1 to agree with me on the age thing...It's just my preference...And I do want a man NOT a boy..Boytoy is totally a different thing all together I'm definately not looking for a boytoy even though it can be fun.. But I just want to meet a decent guy... If he happens to be younger.. It's all good for me and him.. If he happens to be a couple years older and has what it takes it's also all good for him and I Younger...Older ... who knows or who cares as long as he's a great guy and knows how to treat a woman...As this woman definately knows how to treat her man Anyways back to watching the game... GO CANUCKS GO..opps wrong thread..lol

My ex was 6 months younger than me and therefore I only see him and others that age as immature. (yes, I realize that not all are like that) but I just can't seem to allow myself to date anyone around my age or younger.(my own fear, I suppose) However I have dated men 5 to 10 years older and am much more at ease with how I am treated. I am sooo attracted to older men

I am in agreement that age is just a number. For my part, I don't feel my age nor do I act my age and I am told that I don't look my age. I have known both men and women who seemed either older than they were or younger than they were. Most of the people I associate with tend to be in their late 30's to late 40's so I find I get along better with women who are in that age range or act that age range.

Did I make any sense??

^^^^^...TOUCHE...... As I've said and many others.. Age "is" only a number..It really depends on the individual.... Maturity level is very important...And sadly most ppl aren't what they seem,..Younger Or Older Younger can be fun if they have the maturity level and no hang ups ...It's all a matter of clicking or not...Older have way more maturity...Well some...I've finally seen the light.. ...The way I see it ....If 2 ppl get along and click... What is the problem???..If the age gap is too big...It will never work out...They have to be stable and secure within themselves.... Noone said it was easy..You have to learn to either accept the issues each have.. or move on to something better which works...All us ppl at POF are trying to do is find a decent partner...Even just friends...Younger or older it really isnt important.....It's whether the 2 can make it work... Good luck to all...Could be fishing in this pond forever Thanks for all your input on this thread I personally think is very important and enlightening

There are pros n cons to having a big age difference. My ex was 13 years older then me, and things seemed to balance when it came to age. I mostly date older guys for their experience, and well me having three kids puts me in an older catagorie I find. But an age difference can have some negative factors, like music, and the fact they have a lot in common with your parents...lol
