And many people miss out on a lot of great people because they only date people with a certain body type, but that is another dead horse. One good thing about being 5 feet tall is that I do not have to worry about men being shorter than me.

i always loved short guys and i had my fair share of them. short guys can look into your eyes with a short gal. A tall guy has to lean forward to look into my eyes. i am 5ft2. A short couple looks so cute together!

I don't mind dating shorter guys, as long as their credit card is normal size and they're polite. I don't like it when they rest their head on my chest while we're dancing.

"Then the women were told that the shortest man was kind, caring, dressed well, etc.....still no takers. Finally, the women were each told he was a millionaire. They STILL wouldn't date him."

Yeah you had me going there for a moment till you said that the women wouldn't date a short man even if her were a millionaire. I think we all know better don't believe me ask woman how many of them would date Tom Cruise, still don't believe please check out an Episode of Flavor of Love. Even 2Pac said that he used to go to the club and the women would all just look passed him, then once he made it big and struck it rich the same women were all over him, and he was the same dude. All these men are 5'7" but trust me men look alot taller to a woman when he is standing on fat wallet. It may not be all about the money but it helps. (Heck if I were richer I probably wouldn't need to be on this dating site lol)

This is such a redundant thread, but I'll put my 2 cents in here anyway. I'm a shorter guy, and I was never worried about the height issue at all... maybe the whole concept just went over my head lol What I did recently due to the numerous threads on this subject was an entertaining hour-long research project. Out where I live, people are taller than average, too (many Dutch which is the tallest ethnic group). I went on Match, and scanned average-to-great looking gals' height preferences. I took about 50 short-to-average girls (up to 5'5"), and then 50 notably tall girls (5'9-6'0").

Basically, when it all came down to it, yes, almost all aimed for guys taller than themselves, but that wasn't the main issue. Most, regardless of height, wanted a guy within average range, whether that be substantially taller than them if they're shorter, or about their height if they're taller (even when it'd be easy out here to find a guy taller than that). Taller women were more susceptible to being cool with a guy being THEIR height, which was very rare for women being shorter or average. Women shorter wanted a guy substantially taller, where tall women just didn't want a guy noticably shorter. Again, non-overweight decent looking women... it was common to find a gal who was 5'9" have a 5'9" to 5'11" as her height requirement. By the same token, a 5'4" woman would usually have 5'8" to 5'9".

In essence, it's not so much that the guy's "bigger" than they are -- that's almost a given for most circumstances, and that isn't what this is about. It's that they don't want a guy who's shorter compared to OTHER guys in the room as the main focus.

With my height, I prefer someone 5'9'' and upwards (being generous btw).
Yes height/weight proportion is important to me too. No roly-polys please.
I have been out with a shorty.. hmm.. He had an inadequacy issue..perhaps had something to do with his height as well. Possibly tried to overcompensate..too rough for my liking anyway.

I'm also very short, 5'1 so a guy that is around 5'6 and + wouldn't be a big issue for me, it would be a good thing. I think it depends on the girl's height and how she feels about that sort of thing. I would imagine a girl who is 5'8 would probably be a little reluctant to date a guy who is 5'4. Shorter guys should probably go for shorter women, if the height thing is that big of an issue.
