| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 7/21/2007 11:36:10 AM | I have the name of my twin sister at the base of my spine. She died. We've always been together, we're born together and I will have her in my heart and in my skin for the rest of my life, no regret. Otherwise I will never ever tatoo my boyfriends name as it looks so ridiculous to have a blokes name on your body. With a little heart tatooed with the name it's even worst! | |

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 8/6/2007 4:13:45 AM | Considered getting 'I'm a right tit' on my right tit, apart from that tattoo's just dont really appeal to me, too much healing involved for cosmetic effect to be honest.
VVV Its ok, I have recently realized sarcasm doesnt travel too well in text sorry :-)

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 8/6/2007 4:22:49 AM | ^^^^^^think long and hard about that one, its funny the 1st time you think about it, but its old by the 2nd..........sorry. Gotta say that, my mate Capt Jack, went out and got a skull and crossbones on her wrist recently, regretted it before it was even done, and now she is stuck with Capt Jack as a nickname, which is almost as unfunny as the right tit thing, oh and the 'your name on my ar*e'
2 folk I know are gonna get married as soon as he gets out of prison (I know !!) she already has a kid, called Craig, but the man she wants to marry's surname is Craig, so she is calling the baby Mark now, since thats a name to do with said guy..........only thing is she has a massive tattoo covering half her back, and what does it say ? oh yes, Craig !!! WTF ? dont change the babies name, especially not if you have it emblazoned over your back.
Names in tattoo's are mental, I have my kids, but in a different language, as my kids will always be with me, and having it in a different language makes it kinda personal as not everyone will be able to read it.

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 9/2/2007 4:49:22 AM | After three weeks I`m getting my daughters name done in chinese this month hopefully but a partners name, people must be barking Sad fact of life is that nothing lasts forever | |

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 9/2/2007 5:40:21 AM | personally I have seen too many 'corrections' on people's bodies to believe that it is a good move. Then again as in many other instances in life certain things are learnt only once we tried them and felt 'em on our skin. A name tattoed might make some people feel as if they are living the moment more intensely, not as an ornament added to their body. I have a tattoo made by my first love when I was a teenager, it was a symbol of what we felt, we did not have to use names, maybe you could advise her to go for a design instead of letters and names.... | |

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 9/2/2007 8:46:30 AM | Alas its not a fella's name, it spells me name & address so the taxi's can get me home after a nite out on the lash Well it is to be hoped the taxi driver can read chinese then
Op,never say never but it is highly unlikely i would have the name of a partner tattooed on my body, and certainly not after 3 weeks.....idiotic behaviour in my opinion....
I was once seeing a guy for a couple of weeks who decided to have my name tattooed on his upper arm, i told him he may end up regretting it,he said he doubted it..... our relationship lasted 4months...needless to say he did indeed regret it!!

Just as bad as those people who get Elvis or a picture of a Staffy inked onto their skin.

I once went out with a bird who had 'Little and Large' tattooed on both thighs, and what looked like Billy Connolly inbetween.

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 11/16/2007 2:23:50 AM | I would never have someones name tattooed on my body, although i do have my childrens initials. But, a partners..nooo You can never be sure you'll stay with someone, as much as you may believe its "forever" at the time. | |

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 11/17/2007 4:25:41 AM | I had two names tattoed on my body
One on each shoulder when I was 16 or 17
But theyre both mine
Having a REALLY bad memory, being male AND blonde I think on a subconcious level I might have thought the memory jog might have come in handy at some point.....
OOH, almost forgot, I've known a few women who've had blokes names on theirs ranging from the small of their back and their tits to one who had "property of pete, no trespassing" tattoed where her minge would have been
Cant say they were anything other than a note of bemusement really, times change, loves become memories and tattoes are just tattoes
You'd have to be pretty screwed up and insecure IMO to be bothered by such trivial shite really
So much so that anyone who was I'd wonder if they would ever use a toilet cubicle where someone had written "Kilroy was ere" because they had a notification that they were the FIRST person to use the aforementioned toilet....... lol

| Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body Posted: 11/17/2007 10:42:59 AM | I'm proud of my Mancunian roots and wanted to 'ram home the fact so decided on a trip to the tatooist parlour. My ego was severly dented when I was informed in a rather tactless fashion that, 'my knob was'nt big enough to have "Born In Manchester" tattooed on it. I settled in the end for a scaled down verion of MCR [abreviation of Manchester]. Its a fine piece of work and very easy on the eye . | |

I am however hoping to book in after Xmas to have my sons name and date of birth done up one side of my back entwined through a rather cool 14 inch tribal pattern!! Yay...can't wait...but its different cos he my boy!!

It would be more accurately described as being a 'Ken Livingstone'.
Names tattooed? Big no-no!
