when they split up he had it changed to wino forever .

Posted: 3/17/2008 2:02:54 PM | Many years ago I went for a tattoo of a small dolphin on my left cheek (not my face..).
Originally the plan was for it to cover up a scar, only to be told that you shouldn't tattoo over scar tissue. Don't know whether this is still true or not?
Given that I had plucked up the courage to go in the first place I went through with it..only to realize that the tatt000 ended up actually drawing attention to the scar!
Der.
Also, back then it was a beautifully coloured blue dolphin leaping from turquoise waves.
That was twenty odd years ago...these days it looks like a slightly sad and fading beached whale... | |

this woman that I know has been going out with this guy for 3 weeks and today she came in sporting a new tattoo, she'd had his name across the base of her spine, and he'd had her name on his spine
How ridiculous is this?
I'd think long and hard about having a fellas name tattooed on my body, my ex has my name tattooed 3 times, i just hope he meets someone else named Dawn
This person isnt a silly, immature, teenager, she's a 40 odd year old grown woman

My next one is a full sleeve of Iron Maidens Eddie and a bit of Metallicas art work. Its going to look so amazing that even the Queen will want to see it!!
Last summer, my mum, who is a little old silver haired lady - (we were on hols) got herself a tattoo done. Totally out of the blue, she ****ing hates ink and piercings and there she was getting ink done. I was so proud. Then for 3 weeks after, so many people came up to her welcoming her to the 'club'. She found herself surrounded by all these blokes covered in ink, advising her on how to look after it. It was so funny, yet so loving haha | |

It was the one of the most painful experiences of my life (all my mates saying it doesnt hurt......yeah right)
I got it done after my break up, I dont regret it for a second....Id certainly NEVER get a partners name tattooed on my arm

I confess, I'm finding it a bit funny that we're all being sensible and saying no to getting a partner's name tattooed on us, when we've all made much bigger commitments to former partners in the shape of our children. Which really is forever? A bit of ink or a whole new person? | |

my Ex designed one himself that incorporated my name, that would have been, had we married..
( name would have been Barb Wire...yeah I know!!! )
i tried to talk him out of it but he was having non of it
so he is now trying to think of a word begining with B he can add to it..
I gave him a few but as normal he wasnt listening!!! | |

That is really quite profound and you have hit the nail on the head. So the question should be not just about the tattoos, but how we all devote ourselves to unsuitable realtionships, with unsuitable people. Chucking ourselves in at the deep end. I think having children without thinking and to whoever is the done thing now and is completely acceptable - and is an indictment of the society we have become. | |

it looks like I will be losing my kids so the only way I can have them with me all the time would be a TAT
so 5 hours of sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer pain (tattooist saying you will be hooked.....yeah right) on the middle of my back
I got a Phoenix rising from the ashes and my 3 kids names underneath
I dont have to put her name on there because if you look futher down my back you will see shes already there!!!!!!! | |
