| Southern Quotes and Phrases Posted: 1/11/2007 3:56:45 PM | ok listen up
Heard about then old couuntry doctor who went way out in the boondocks ( a southern term for way out there) to deliver a baby? It was so for out, there was no electricity. When the doctor arrived, no one was home except for the laboring mother and her 8-year old child
The doctor insturcted the child to hold a lantern high so he could see, while he helped the woman deliver the baby.
The mother pushed and hollered and after a long while, the doctor lifted the newborn by the feet and spanked him on the botton to get him to take his first breath.
The doctor then ask the 8 year old what he thought of the baby.
The little boy responded. I would've spanked him to!! He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place.

| Southern Quotes and Phrases Posted: 1/13/2007 5:19:55 AM | Guy showed up at his buddies house with a new girlfriend (looked and talked just like Jessica Simpson). Buddy says "heared ya'll gettin hitched". "Yep, met her at the family reunion, best place to pick up wimmn' ya ain't related to"
And from a previous post where someone said "I ain't studdin' on him". What that means is STUDYING. You aren't going to spend any time thinking about or worrying about that other person. When I would try to tell my dad that one of the cows was sick and he knew it was terminal, he would just say "I aint studdin' on that ol' heafer". The yankee vet said, "Sir, I wouldn't be talking about the wife that way, she still fixes a great biscuit and gravy."
I still like "flippin' the bone" at John Law though, with the bubble gum machine on top of his 2-tone (black and white) po-lice car while goin' through the town of Social Circle. | |
