Posted: 2/20/2008 8:27:01 PM | I'm over 50, and my sex drive is off the charts right now. I've been dating someone I *really* connect with for the past 3 months; he's 55. His age-related issues are more of a concern than mine. Getting it up and keeping it up long enough are more of an issue than anything related to *my* body. Thankfully, though, we care about each other enough that it's not a deal breaker.
For women in general, I think there's a lot of variability at this age. Some of us want a LOT of sex, others want none. I don't think one can necessarily make sweeping generalizations about the sex drives of women over 40/50 any more than one can about men of that age. I was with a man a few months ago who is in his 60's, and his ability to get it up/keep it up was never an issue. So there are no hard and fast rules at this age. You just have to give it a try and see how it goes. | |

Women seem to talk about their lovers and a guy in his 50s can find himself being hit on if he can get it up and work it right. It seems from about 38 to at least 63 their desire grows daily. Those that talk about 'friends' or 'long term' and etc can really be a freak between the sheets with a lover on the side while they search. Thank God for the 38 - 60 year olds. It is more about the total experience than the quickie they were used to with the ex or bf. Now it's all about them, and when they find what they want they cannot get enough. | |

With age I have found that I am a far more senistive lover and get as much pleasure form giving a lady a screaming orgaasm than satisfying myself. Yes at my age one does find it harder to "perform" but I think in my case it is more physcological that physical. However I gave my last encounter three orgasms in the space of 30 minutes. No I'm not boasting it did happen. Why because I put her first and encouraged her to experement. She had never given herself an orgasm never even touched herself.
