Thanks for offering to be in charge. I'll take you up on it. I'm sure that your get-together will be a very well attended event. Last but not least.... I thought it would be nice to get people out from behind their pc's and actually meet in a non threatening enviroment. Three times I've tried this, but with little success...but at least I tried to get people together. I didn't just stand back on the sidelines and then complain and insult someone I didn't even know. Are you willing to give your # out to every stranger on fish? Do you give your # out to everyone on here who emails you and asks for it? Call me silly...but I call it being smart and I'm sure that most the women on this site would agree with me.

Maybe have a better venue than Carolina Ale House?
Perhaps something at a lake on a Saturday afternoon (very public spot) with a potluck and people bring along some sporting things like soccer or volleyball, or even frisbees.
Signage wouldn't hurt either I supppose.
Any new meetings taking place soon? | |

I'm ready for a singles get together. Does anyone have any plans on this happening in the near future? I would love to help out with setting something up so we could all meet and mingle, however, I don't live actually in Raliegh. I live outside of Raleigh like 45 miles so it would be nice to find some people in the Raleigh area to help out with getting a get together started and I would do what I can to help out. Some one suggested meeting somewhere between Raleigh and Greensboro in order to involve more people. Burlington is an hour from Raleigh, 45 minutes from Durham, and 30 minutes from Greensboro. Is there any one who would be willing to come that far? I would love to come to aget together, not big on planning but maybe we don't need to plan much. just name a date, time and loction. I would like to thank Dreamie for all her hard work. she really has done a lot. | |

Our first one on Oct 10, we had about 50-60 pofer's and had a blast. So come on and sign up and attend along with the rest of us, take a break from the everyday routine and get out of the house and mingle with one another. I'm glad I meet all the nice pof people at the last one and looking foward to meeting even more this time. I'm a dancer and a talker, so can't wait to get some more dancin and good conversation in again!    | |

A great night for dancin with a live band, and a awesome DJ on the Top 40's side of club. We have some that will have a few drinks and some that don't drink at all, we have plenty of time for good conversation with other pof people. Cover charge to get in is only $5.00. Posted: 1/8/2008 12:15:10 PM | I was not a member of the dating site when Dreamie was tryin so hard to get things going for get togethers, but do have to give her the world of credit, because I can see and tell she really tried hard, I think maybe just at that time, people might just was not ready to get out of the house. She did a excellent job! It wasn't her, it was the people. However, maybe people have started to realize to meet these for real people they should get out and mingle in a group atmosphere, I have to say now that I've been on here for awhile now, most of your TRUE and HONEST people are the ones that will get out and go to the get togethers, because they don't mind meeting people face to face. So anyone wanting to meet good new friends and maybe find that special someone in your life,  , Get on out and come to the get togethers instead of sitting behind the computer reading alot of junk emails. We always have a wonderful time meeting each other and making friends, and it's seems so good to me to just get out of the house and I've meet some really nice people at these get togethers, so again, come on out.......watch for other get togethers at the top of the inbox page in green links, there's alot on there right now, and more on the way  | |

Thursday and Sunday evening dance lesson get togethers on the Countryside @ the Longbranch. We will learn how to do the country dances such as two-step, swing, and line dance. We will learn it all!! We will start out with learning several basic dances. This will be a Fun time for all. Great time to get out and meet others that love to dance and we'll all have a fun time learning together! Only people that will be there will be people learning to dance, there will be no one sitting around, so no pressure! Everyone will be on the dance floor! :) Great way to meet others and please invite your friends to come along. Anyone and Everyone is welcome to join us...NEWCOMERS ARE VERY WELCOME!!
*Thursday March 6th will be our line dance lesson*

It's going to be a great time for all to get out and meet and make friends. Social time with plenty of friends once again at the LongbranchSaloon in Raleigh. Feel the energy from the crowd as club goers anxiously await the nights festivities. Expect a crowd of beautiful people enjoying the music-mix of Southbound 85 on the Countryside, DJ Freeze in the Ice room (Top 40), and DJ Danny in the Disco room. Also join in on all the fun in the Karaoke Sports room and can't forget the free mechanical bull rides. Exciting night for all and great time to get out and meet people.
I'm giving every one plenty of time to make arrangements to attend along with plenty of time to invite all your friends on POF and non POF.

*We will have some reserved tables in the VIP area and reserved tables in the Karoake Sports bar, the sports bar is located on the left as you walk in the club on the countryside. The VIP area is the elevated area in the middle of the club right in front of the huge dance floor on countryside, and you will have access to all 4 dance floors inside club.
Ages 18-20 are allowed in club, You must surrender your drivers license when you enter and can pick them up when you leave the club. You are given a wrist band to wear the entire time you are in the club and if caught without it on or caught with alcohol in your possession, you will be removed from building.
I look foward to seeing people that I've met at previous get togethers and I am very looking foward to meeting NEW people. Come on out and have a great time with everyone! See you there!
