| REALITY, who knows what it is? Posted: 9/4/2005 6:19:43 AM | This thought makes me wonder if, and this is just my opinion, religion was "invented" not just to answer the unanswerable but to also put a face, or more acurately a tangible effigy to the undefinable, the unknowable, absolute reality.
...the human drive to expand and explore is in part based on the unconscious need to answer if this is all that there is and nothing more and since it is impossible to ever know reality in an absolute sense, religion was created as the vehicle by which to take us there.
But then again what the fukc do i know.

| REALITY, who knows what it is? Posted: 9/4/2005 10:19:23 AM | I'm answering this, in the religious perspective. Maybe with a bit of logic and phylosophy...
One persons reality, is anothers dream.
For example... A person with a clear thinking mind or conscious, believes himself to be and feel, who they are. But by the same token, even though distorted to the rest of the world. An insane person, may have thier own reality, believing themselves to be and feel, who they are.
They thought Edison, was out of his mind, i'm sure, in the beginning. But in his thinking or reality of what could be given to this world, panned out. Now take his reality, being forced on the many. On the day he wanted to show his invention of electricity, he had men marching down the street in a parade, with a light at the front of thier hats. Or so they said, on the biography i saw. Needless to say, freaking out the mass's, who uptill then, all lived by candle light. So who's reality, is the true reality?
Can a person, who the many might consider thier reality, abnormal. Be simply a new way of thinking, maybe evolving, of course, within and having reason. Or is it, our learned response, on how things should be, is governed by the many and not the few?
Yet in both cases, most of the time in life, people are still confused on their purpose in life. They sometimes don't understand what they feel or believe, about themselves? Isn't that reality, not knowing?
Isn't it simply being sentient, of one's own self... The knowing and understanding, within our very own physical and minds. Being our very own, universe, as it were? I mean, regardless of wherever we go whether across the street or too the other side of the universe. Don't we all carry, our very own realities, within ourselves?
Then again how do we really know, that on the day we pass on. And our eyes close, for the very last time. That we just might reopen them, to the voice of someone yelling... "Cut! That was a print, everybody"... And we are all just living out a part, in a huge play. On someone written word, hey...? Maybe like the bible... Only with us either awakenging to a good place or a bad one?
Some realities, can even be fabricated. Whether manufactured, in our own dreams. Or created by man, such as in the movie, "The Truman Show". Maybe even thru, hypnosis. It just goes to show that, reality can be boundless, in themes or ideas?
But no more better way of saying it, as you did. "But then again what the fukc do i know".

| REALITY, who knows what it is? Posted: 9/4/2005 10:20:17 AM | "Reality" is the filter over our eyes and minds that makes life seem like it makes sense. It is your own personal universe--individual as any snowflake or fingerprint--that can be shared or glimpsed by no one else but you. Basically, it's the world that you need to see around you to prevent you from going insane. I think all of our various views of "reality" are about as accurate as an ant's view of "reality". Still, it doesn't mean that it can't be nice... | |

| REALITY, who knows what it is? Posted: 9/4/2005 10:54:09 AM | Reality is our very own understanding our very own, encompassing universes which make us,who we are as individuals
but much like the universes, out in the cosmos which collide, every so often either we share, our knowing or one, tries to become the dominant over the other by way of forcing, our very own or their beleifs on the other
but the key i beleive is that, one always has to remain, true to themselves no matter what
cause if something has gotten us, this far in life like the saying goes, if it aint broke, don't fix it just polish it up, every once and awhile and keep, moving ever forward
