'_Most_ men' ..would be more accurate . .
Many men have happy, healthy, loving relationships . .
and some are still looking for one . .
To answer a majority of the questions . .
Most men are competitive, Macho Slobs...that feel that their "Masculinity' may be tarnished in some way, if they show the Least amount of compassion, caring or sympathy to a woman...
[especially when their 'friends' are present to pass judgement on them . . ]
'Many' women have been affected by these kinds of 'men' to the point of
generalizing 'Most Men' the same way . . (accurately) . .
Those women need to find a decent, caring, respectful man to share the give-and-take
of a genuine relationship . .
Granted . . the 50 or so that are left are scattered pretty thin across the country, but

Why are men affraid of something good comming into their life?
I'm not. Lots of good things have come into my life, and some bad things too... welcome to life!
Why do men fear commitment?
I don't, but I do not rush into it either.
Why is it that almost everything has to be about competition and winning?
It doesn't, I've known many women that were the same way.
Why are men not accepting of women with children?
Lots of reasons. Some men love children, some don't want to be bothered raising/supporting (or even fearing that they will have to) someone elses kids. There are many other reasons. For me personally, I'm somewhat selfish. :)
What is soo scary about wanting to settle down at a young age?
I'm no longer at a young age (39) but when I was I remembered seeing the hell of a marriage that my parents had. I vowed never to do it, and didn't untul I was 34 and met who I thought was my soul mate.

Depends, if it is consistently happening between you and your boyfriends maybe you should take a good hard look at how you are approaching the conversation (or the type of people you are dating.)

Most of these problems occure due to upbringing and a social climate that forces men to be men rather than who and what they are. Acting macho is a good example or being a jerk to his woman when his friends are around yet a cupcake when they are not. That is a serious lack of self confidance. Ditch him.
Men draw back from relationships for the same reason women do... who ever came on too strong or told the them that they loved them on the first date if not just after the first IM session. whoa red flag and psyco..
Don't hate men, find a good one. Talk to them, challenge their brains... take it slow and enjoy the ride. punish them if they do bad things... much like training a dog. :D | |

When a man dose talk about his feelings many women, and I am going to guess you are one of them call them wimps. so after so many times of that then they just put up their guard.

Men do not fear commitment: they will tattoo a football team's LOGO onto their SKIN. They will join something dehumanising like the Army to be part of a greater whole, willing to give up their lives for "the corps". (I know that's Marines, but still). The unspoken question here is, "why isn't he committing to ME?"
The question here is, why do men naturally not want to completely fuse together with a woman, the same way she wants to do with him? The answer is process. Men fear losing their autonomy, and a relationship, especially these days, is considered for better or for worse a trap, not something beneficial. Your great-great-great (insert many greats) grandmother's genes survived cause she wanted to form a cohesive union with some man and pair-bond. Your great-great-great-(etc) grandfather's genes survived cause he always had his eye on the next fertile creature to come by. It's innate survival instinct.
Add the sad modern depictions of modern heterosexual coupleness. She nags all the time, he becomes completely incompetent, fat, bald, and heckled by everyone including his own children.
There is very little that men have to see in relationships as positive, unfortunately, to their OWN LOSS.

Let me ask you this. When your boss comes up to you and says in a very serious tone "come and see me before you leave today", aren't you even slightly concerned that you're leaving that afternoon, even if you've done nothing wrong? (It could be a layoff or a false accusation).
Well, unfortunately, "we need to talk" is unfortunately soon conditioned into a man to mean "I am going to cry and nag at you and tell you why you're a bad person." Or "I'm not happy with what we have together, and here is a laundry list of changes you must make."

For the same reason that any time a male asks a woman to behave in a different way, even if it's sensible, is rebuffed with, basically, "you're not the boss of me". Women chafe against male control - males chafe against female control. It's "hey guys, I'm not p*ssywhipped, look."
That's a trait that one sees in both genders.

Everyone needs to have time away from his or her partner, a place of his or her own, and friends of his or her own. It's not healthy otherwise. Just cause he doesn't invite you bowling doesn't mean he's cheating. As to the second, I don't know why he's acting like that, but it isn't acceptable.

Cause maybe he doesn't want to argue or fight with the spouse who sees every female friend as a potential adulterous affair, and wants to see his friends. Men will simply often lie rather than spend three days arguing and screaming and never getting it resolved. She'll say "you can't have female friends" and pull all kinds of tricks to get her way, and he'll say "fine". Then he'll lie, knowing that if he tells the truth she'll yell 100% of the time, but if he lies, 20%? 25%?

How about you try this.... and then re-think your questioning...
change the genders... everywhere there is "man" replace it with "woman" and the same for everything else...
But here is my take....
1)Still waiting for that something good... So far it hasnt happened, and Ive gained a lot of experience, and lost a lot of stuff.
2)Dont fear commitment... but fear being Committed
3)competition and winning - in our over feminized culture, its the only thing we have left to us.
4)Not accepting women with children... there was a thread that Exasperated this point. Pick a reason.. emotional involvement with someone when you will ALWAYS be put second to everything, but.. first when it comes to paying financially.
5)Settling down at a young age.. Well, I read something recently.. Women want to settle down at a young age when they are at their peek of beauty and charm.. Men are just starting out and have serious upward mobility. So when they hit thier thirties and the looks have faded, the kids have been squeezed out, and life isnt so much fun... he is saddled with a nag.. while he is still climbing that ladder.. LOL

~ Presentable does not include perms, dyes, plucking, waxxing, inking, fluffing, puffing, stuffing, trimming, painting, exfolating, curling, primping and THEN taking a 3 hour shower, doing it ALL over again. AND THEN asking us where we are going, and if your ass looks fat in that dress. You better GODDAMN believe that after 4 hours of waiting for you in the bathroom 1 of 2 things are going to happen, were either going to ignore you and your fat ass while we despratly try to rid our bladders of those 2 pots of coffee we had while waiting for you to vacate the bathroom. Or your going to find a note explaining that the tickets to maui were non-refundable, and could you please tell any of the guys that call that we will be out of town for 2 weeks and will be missing tuesday nights poker game.
Why do men accuse woman of trying to "impress" another man when they feel like looking good for themselves?
~ Because the only time we dress up is to impress a girl. And, after we have you camped out with us, what the hell is the point in that, so therefore if your dressing up, and already are mooching off us, then obviously we dont think that skimpy dress and those stockings are for us. Besides, it might have something to do with the 9 BILLION txt messages that prick sent you last night while we were trying to enjoy a movie.
