Well it's the last few days before the party. I still want to check out Greg's and their closeouts for boots...no time like now to get them while theyre selling out! I am finalizing a place in the next couple nights for the Valentine's Party here. I should have the thread up by Friday so watch for it! Just wanted to say hi, am amazed by all the new faces, which is great!!! Thanks for making sat night with the fish a party which will be remembered well. Take care this week, and will see you all in a few days!! :)

The Lone Ranger and Tonto walked into "Cowboys" and sat down to drink a free beer.
After a few minutes, a big tall cowboy walked in and said, "Who owns the big white horse outside?" The Lone Ranger stood up, hitched his gun belt, and said, "I do... Why?" The cowboy looked at the Lone Ranger and said, "I just thought you'd like to know that your horse is about dead outside!"
The Lone Ranger and Tonto rushed outside and sure enough Silver was ready to die from heat exhaustion. The Lone Ranger got the horse water and soon Silver was starting to feel a little better. The Lone Ranger turned to Tonto and said, "Tonto, I want you to run around Silver for a little while and see if you can create enough of a breeze to give him a little relief!"
Tonto said, "Sure, Kemosabe" and took off running circles around Silver.
Not able to do anything else but wait, the Lone Ranger returned to the bar to finish his beer.
A few minutes later, another cowboy struts into the bar and asks,
"Who owns that big white horse outside?" The Lone Ranger stands again, and claims, "I do, what's wrong with him this time?" The cowboy looks him in the eye and says...
"Nothing, but you left your Injun runnin'."

Rockin chairs..hrumphfh...ha :) You just wanna get me away from the crowd, you clever dude :) I havent been to get my boots yet, but before Saturday, I will. Im trying to finalize the plans for the Valentine's Day party. Tonite or tomorrow night things should be pretty well set. Keep your eyes peeled for the new post! As for the name tags, I have some left that I purchased for the Christmas party, so we should be set there too. Y'all practicing your two step ?!? I am!! :) Talk to you all soon...up front and personal!!! Hotchachaaaaa! :)
Oh, and thanks to our admin for more t-shirts to hand out..Youre the best!!! woowoo :)

Have you followed up with the "DJ" Jason at Cowboys, since last we spoke?
Might want to inform him that you will have 50+ people attending the establishment. I'm sure with that many people, that's got to come close to a 5% or slightly more ratio of the normal attandence that Nightclub sees on an ordinary Saturday night.
I know the Club opens at 8pm but I'm guessing you all plan on arriving a bit sooner than that?
You could see if they will let you set up a table near the entrance, maybe have a banner or something advertising POF where it's sure to catch peoples eye just after they enter the establishment. From there you could give out the name badges and maybe pass out flyers to non-POF members? | |

As far as meeting the POF ppl, when you enter the place, there's a bar to your left...that's where we will meet around 8. The place doesnt really get all that busy till around 10, so if most come early..we can school up together while there's places to sit. Also, the dance lessons happen early, so if anyone wants to learn some steps..we'll be there. You take care, and thanks for the suggestions!

And Auggy, I never saw a hitchin post yet, but maybe youd be able to hitch up to one of the biker spots..Im sure the biker dudes wouldnt mind a horse next to their purrrrrrrrty bike..HA! :)

I posted that we are meeting to the left of the bar, so I think we'll keep it at that since most have read the thread. Im finalizing up a place for the valentine's party...cant post it tonite, most likely tomorrow. So keep your eyes peeled!

Posted: 1/19/2007 2:02:34 AM | WOW!! Looks like I'm going to be pulling another 24+ hour deal here.. I work Friday night from 7pm-7am and then have to teach a CPR class on Saturday morning from 9am-5pm..then come home and get ready to attend the best party Cowboy's will ever see..
Looks like it's gonna be lots of vodka and redbull for me :)
Can't wait to see everyone though.. So, who's teaching me how to line dance? :) | |
