Well if anyone is tempted, you need a board that has been designed in the correct manner. Read more about them here

We messed about with a Ouija board when we were younger, there were quite a few of us doing it and I shite myself. We were all sitting there smoking at the time and this woman came on called Barbara who had died of cancer of all things, she wouldnt talk until we put the fags out !!!!!

My mum and dad have also done it with other people and the glass flew off and smashed into an invisible wall !!!!

[I have NEVER heard of a medium/tarot reader giving their fee to charity]

I've been to see 3 mediums now and they have all put there fees to charity and each one of them was spot on to what has happened to me.

Not that I rely on them for my future, just interested on what is predicted more and to see if it comes true.

I bet you've been waiting ages to be able to use the word 'Medium' in a sentence again.

a very dangerous instrument to mess around with..and should only be used by experienced mediums..i knew a young woman years back who us to dabble with the ouija and tarot..then she started to hear voices in her head..and said it was the devil talking to her..and wanted to punish her..and now she is a inmate in a secure mental institution..

i did the board once years ago while still with my ex, there was 4 of us and this old lady came through and she took a real shine to my ex, at one point he asked her if he could leave the table to go to the loo and she said no, he asked a few more times and she kept saying no so he just stood up ans said im going, the blinking glass started shooting from side to side very fast then just stopped dead, it blinking shit the life out of us and ive never done it since.

i do have tarot cards and have visited a medium a number of time and have alway found them to be spot on.

Folks

The reason you guys are shitting yourselves and getting into trouble is that there are various ritualistic activities you have to do before even starting the session. You need to cleanse the board and ensure that only those entities from the realms of light come through. It is very easy to connect to the astral plane - i.e. the plane closest to us which is totally f***** up and where all the inprocessed emotional garbage is. That is what is coming through in your sessions and your fear is probably amplifying what is already there, making it worse. Many new agers confuse the astral plane with much higher spiritual planes, and then the woes begin!

Best to go to a medium first before doing any of this kind of thing yourselves.

I have always been interested in the unkown! infact so many people tell me to live in the real world!
I just cant always do that !
I feel safe n the unkown! It's the real world I have trouble with!
mediums, witch craft, meditation, spirits, tarots ,angel cards( better than tarots),chakras, etc!
I am a spiritual person, but oujie boards are not good!
I can always sense when there's a spirit around me,and whether it's good or bad!
I know there's another life for me after this one,if I choose it!
call me what you like
I see a clairvoyant once a year and she's spot on! wont see any others as a lot are fake!

I tried it when I was about 16. I had the house to myself for the weekend, Mum was in Edinburgh visiting her parents but had decided to trust me on my own (big mistake). I had a few friends round to keep me company and we decided to try it.
We scared ourselves sh!tless, alternatively accusing each other of moving the glass and such. We had the spirit of a girl come through, who said she'd died in the Toxteth riots (never tried to verify the info). I'd read somewhere that it was a very bad thing if the glass you were using broke, I kept the glass we used in my knicker drawer for a good year afterwards to keep it safe!

The worst thing though was when my mum came home, she was hardly across the threshold before she turned round and said "You've had a seance in my house!" She said it was ages before the house felt right.
Did she actually feel the difference or was it just a good guess?????

Would never, ever do it again.

Not for me - there's enough to learn about this world before trying to understand the spirit version :)

Wendella

Hi - I am not too sure how much of this I should be going into, but I have been asked on a couple of occasions to sort out a couple of houses where the occupants knew there was something wrong. Just as people get into trouble with oujia boards, so they have not been educated as to how to cleanse a room or building. I did one 200 year old building and for a few moments at the end it was like a snow storm was blowing through, just for a second as the energies cleared out.

I am sure your mother could have sensed what you had done for sure.

A friend of mine is developing a retreat in wales, but it is on a site where there has been a huge amount of unpleasantness. It will take four of us over a new moon in a couple of weeks time to clear, but the place is going to be a spiritual retreat so we need to work hard to heal the barn and land and what ever is still stuck there.

Heed this chap's words folks.
Many people disrespect the spiritual side, but please don't mess with the unknown.
If not prepared correctly, and usually worse, ended correctly, it can all get very chilling for participants of any "contact" session.
When something happens beyond expectation, the "f**k that factor" can make people just stop what they're doing, quickly pack up and make a hasty exit.
It's then often needed for people such as the above posting gentleman, or my senior ministers to "clear up" whats been tampered with incorrectly. On my rev. colleagues forums theres many references to difficult fixes regarding inexperienced contact.

Don't bugger with the board. It's not like Scooby Doo in reality.

Forgive me for referring to you as "the gentleman" Simonralli as I don't know which authority you use for your work, but from reading your posts, I gather you have experience in these matters

there is no doubt about it..ouija boards are very dangerous and should be taken very serious indeed..they are a portal to the spirit world..and can bring all sorts of elementals and spirits into your homes..anyone who is daft enough to feck around with them for a bit of fun..is playing a very dangerous game indeed..

My authority comes from the teachers who have come into my life at the right time - most of them shamanic.

There would be no point in listing them, as who is an authority for everyone else will be different.

But yes, I speak from direct experience as well, and dont think I haven't got myself into difficulties when learning and experimenting myself. I also obviously speak from direct experience.

Its a shame you dont beleive because when you cross over, depending on what spiritual beleif ect you have, depends on which higher plane you go.
The more understanding and beleif the higher you go.... the higher you go, the nicer

Derren Brown is a very talented man, who uses psychology and suggestion to demonstrate how our minds can be easily lead.

In the seance show he was demonstrating how Victorian charlatans were able to trick people.

He doesn't prove that there is nothing after death, he shows that there are other possiblilities.

Keep an open mind, we don't know all there is to know.

i have been with more people in there last moments on this earth than i can remember and watched as they talk to departed relitives and seen the comfort and peace it gives them in there last moments, and have also been visited by my dad who passed away in 1997 more than once, but hey we are all mad and im seeing things cos Derren Brown says so!! sorry but bollocks to Derren blinking Brown. there has been way too many unexplainable things happen to so many different people, people from all different walks of life and religions for there to be nothing, i for one beleive theres something there, just don't know or understand what.

I used to really believe in all this stuff and I'm one of those people who definately like to keep an 'open mind' but if you think about it, if the future can be predicted with a Ouija board the next time someone does something negative towards you, dont blame them for it as it's already been mapped out BEFORE they were born, so it's not their fault lol

I hate sounding like a sceptic but if there was anything the amount of people on this board and elswhere involving themselves in this stuff we would have found alot more evidence by now, surely? so I'm really not at all convinced anymore and think it's all cobblers. sad to say, but your adding fuel to the fire of preachers and other extremists.

what I DO believe is that it's all todo with telekinetic energy, such as moving the glass spelling out words etc... the mind emits an energy field strong enough to move an object, this seems more reasonable than the idea of another world with demons and angels.

I did the ouija board a few times when i was younger.the first time i was 14 and there was a gang of us.We got my friend through who'd died the year before, well after that lots of weird accidents started happening and i actually saw the girl who had died stood in her bedroom window,as she had lived next door to me.So we all had to go to the church to get blessed by a priest.
The second time was when i was 16 and my mate and i got a young lad who said he'd been murdered and buried and we needed to tell the police.the lights started flickering and we ran in her brothers room.he was like a sort of goth at the time and when he sat up in bed he looked like the devil.so we started screaming,my mates mum came rushing down stairs and threw the ouija board in the garden, then burnt it the next day.

It was rather amusing really, looking back. The amount of piss taking spirits that popped up pretending to be God, Elvis and a smithering of other famous people. "Yeah spirit, of course I believe you." It's nice to know that even in death we take our sense of mischievousness over to the other side.

I bought my friend one for Xmas last year. Like Simon, she knows the rituals that are necessary to ensure safety (She's a white witch) & it's a "proffesional" board.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be part of a seance. Not so much that I'm scared of conjuring bad spirits, there's no one I'm interested in getting messages from, & good or bad, it would freak me out either way.

I got Tarot cards for Xmas this year...will have to look into how to cleanse them...never heard of that, thanks!!!

As a regular spiritualist church attender and developing medium I can say the same as many on here. Don't mess with it unless you know what you are doing.

It's very easy for dark spirits to come through if you haven't got the right protection in pace before you even go near the board. Be very very careful what you do. It might seem like a laugh at the time but you could end up with a lot more than you bargained for.

As an aside, I had some very weird dream/messages last night. I found it very hard to get to sleep and I think the spirit that I was told is in my house finally made an appearance so to speak. I didn't actually see anything but I was seriously freaked out. I kept asking for protection and the spirit to go and let me sleep but it wouldn't budge. Think I dozed off in the end. Not sure though.

When I was young, and more foolish, I messed around with this sort of thing. Some odd things happened, it was scarey.
I now feel that I don't know enough about what I may or may not be doing to participate.

In my opinion, these things are best left to people who know, or think they know, what they are doing.
