Unfortunately, those days aren't completely over, but they're getting there. there are still some throwbacks to that kind of thinking around. I admittedly let my career slide in order that the ex could stay close to his family (mother) and also I was on the "Mommy track". Now I am paying for it in having to find a new career. I should take my own advice once in awhile.

Posted: 1/25/2007 9:07:02 AM | There is so many....many of todays Rap songs are just stupid... some are just too forward....duh....gotta leave something to the imagination!!! But they have a good beat to them so they still sound good!!
Anyway...here's a STUPID one....80's song of course...(its stupid but I actually like the song...good beat..and catchy!)
We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off....Jermaine Stewart
It just sounds stupid hearing a guy say that to a girl....it's something that a woman would say isn't it?? To finish the rest of the song chorus....."to have a good time....UH- HUH!!"

| What's the stupidest or sappiest song you ever heard on the radio? Posted: 1/29/2007 6:14:49 PM | "I'll Be Watching You" is a great song, just because the lyrics DO force you to recognize that the speaker is a stalker. Sting is just the singer, maybe writer; he's not the stalker! Why can't people recognize that?
Do you people really think that Mick is the Devil in "Sympathy"? Or that L&M are walrusses?
Consider that Sting makes one think of the craziness of a stalker, and in that way does a service!
If you people don't recognize that, go babble somewhere else.

| What's the stupidest or sappiest song you ever heard on the radio? Posted: 1/29/2007 9:27:27 PM | | I think that it may be the same as Billy Joel's Captain Jack. When I was a teenager, we all thought that it was a pro- drug culture song. Now that I'm older and really listen to the lyrics, he talks about what a loser the guy is. THere's a certain element of people that think that because it's in a song, it's glorified. They don't get the message of the song, they just hear the chorus and then beleive it. Those are the dangerous ones that Micro is talking about. | |

Called : Back in the Saddle by Matrica Berg. and I think 3 other female country singers as back up. Funny and if you listen to it , it has sexual overtones. " I can put you back in the saddle baby everytime you fall, I can out you back in the saddle baby and that ain't all "

| What's the stupidest or sappiest song you ever heard on the radio? Posted: 4/25/2007 9:05:44 PM | This month's sappiest song award goes to Hinder and their song Better than Me. Here's verse 1 and chorus: I think you can do much better than me After all the lies that I made you believe Guilt kicks in and I start to see The edge of the bed Where your nightgown used to be I told myself I won't miss you But I remembered What it feels like beside you
I really miss your hair in my face And the way your innocence tastes And I think you should know this You deserve much better than me
BOOHOO...
Anyway, I'm not bashing Hinder in its entirety. I happen to like their song How Long. Even though its also a defeatist kinda song at least it's got better riff(s).

1. BLUE by Eiffel 65 Lyrics: I'm blue dabadeeda dabbadabbadeeba... (or something ridiculous like that)
2. The Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang that song about doing it like animals on the discovery channel. (hey, wild primal sex is all good, but this song is just lame!)
Sappiest.... Theme from Ice Castles... sorry, it had to be said.
