They should outlaw hockey in Sweden because the mthrfyckers have absolutely no grit.
Try saying that to someone like Forsberg, Alfredson (not necessarily all the time, but today was he was good.. knocked Roberts flat on his ass), or Lidstrom (three cups and a 4 norris trophies.. you don't win those by being passive), and the list could go on.
And yes, good win tonight. I wouldn't doubt if this game went to the 7th, and while I want the Canucks to win, it's really hard to say who'll take it. The past 5 goals that have gone in have been pretty fortunate to actually find their way to the back of the net. Dallas has had 3 straight tip in goals, the first goal of the series they scored, the puck didn't even make it to the back of the net, and the 4th goal Luongo should have had.
Anyhow.. it's going to be fun.
| Canucks Posted: 4/15/2007 11:01:33 PM | And so much for Calgarys players getting over the flu, getting injured players back, and playing better.
I wouldn't doubt if they're out in 4 or 5.
| Canucks Posted: 4/16/2007 12:12:18 AM | Hahaaaaaa, I knew someone was going to take exception for slagging the sisters. I enjoy watching them play and Dallas has figured out what they do and are defending them well. I'm looking forward to that point in time when they elevate their game in fact I think they did elevate their game in the second half of the game tonight. It's been an extremely tight series so far with big gaps of wide open play. Hey and Linden came through and let Sydor taste his elbow pad as well. There's going to be payback for that little hit or you could make the point that it was payback for Luongo getting his helmet knocked off in game two. Don't think these guys don't have people watching replays for them. Ya gotta love it! | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/16/2007 1:20:16 AM | Yeah.. to be honest I kind of enjoy the Sydor thing.. and the Mitchell face wash he gave to Turco.. someone needs to light the wick and get the emotions out. It was a good game, but you've got to admit that it was a pretty slow hockey game over all.
The next few games are going to be a blast.
| Canucks Posted: 4/16/2007 2:48:48 PM | Two more Canucks wins here we come!! buhbye Stars hope you enjoy golfing I'm sure it is sunny down there.
Another reason for us to keep on winning WITH THE BAD WEATHER!!!!!!! Cannot golf in the rain..well you can but not fun.
GO Canucks GO!

| Canucks Posted: 4/16/2007 11:36:56 PM | | Whatchya gonna plan for Thursday if Canucks win tommorow in Dallas? If they don't for Sunday? Here's a little secret for you...Sydor and both Niedemayers should be in Vancouver. Turco is a goof, wipe him out by ramming Modano into him. BRING ON THE HOCKEY PARTIES. Get ready for round two. Whatchya gonna do when CANUCKS eliminate you? | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/17/2007 8:01:06 PM | WHOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

| Canucks Posted: 4/18/2007 11:31:01 AM | | I hate to admit it, but I feel sorry for Marty Turco. The guy has been the second best goalie in the playoffs this year; made some amazing stops last night; has let in only one more goal than Luongo in this series - but he's going to get the goat label again as a goalie who can't win in the post season. If we had Cloutier in goal (who was a good goalie, but not a great one), we'd be done by now. The Stars would have swept the series. | |

If we had Cloutier in goal, we never would have been in the playoffs. The Canucks didn't score enough this year to compensate for the 4 - 5 goal nights he was prone to have.

I do agree with that. However, Turco still has many years left ahead of him to lose that label. For at least just once I want to see Trevor Linden and Marcus Naslund skate around GM Place with the Cup hoisted high in the air. If Turco gets labelled a choke artist one more year because the Canucks have to go through him to get there... so be it.

| Canucks Posted: 4/20/2007 12:21:37 AM | | OMFG what a lazy change cost us big time -_- my heart literally sank into my stomach haha | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/20/2007 12:31:01 AM | The Canucks losing was all a cynical plot cooked up by the owners and the CBC in order to boost revenue for Saturday night. | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/20/2007 11:57:16 AM | | Turco is a goof. They will never win a Cup with him in net. A Calgary,Dallas,Detroit or San Jose will put them out of thier misery if they get lucky against us. We could and should go far with Luongo in net. We got the right mix of players ihn front of a real play-off type goalie for the first time since 1994. Capt.Roberto. GO CANUCKS GO. You're right about the ownership/CBC cynicism. | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/20/2007 1:31:46 PM | | So...I'm working nights and missed the game. What the h e double hockey sticks happened? | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/20/2007 4:21:55 PM | | sloppy changed resulted in a too many men penalty in which dallas scored on in ot -_- | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/20/2007 7:55:40 PM | Turco is a goof? Hey, I picked the 'Nucks to win on one of these threads based on the fact that Turco was the opposin goalie, but I have to say, he's been hands down the second best player on the ice in this series...and really it's a toss up between him and Luongo for series MVP. I will say one thing though...NEITHER team will get past the next round without their forwards playing a bigger role. | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/21/2007 12:04:32 PM | | ^^^ I agree. All the other teams are scoring more than 2 goals a game. Turco is no goof. He's unfortunately on a team that doesn't score much. | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/21/2007 1:29:16 PM | | The thing about Turco is he flops like rainbow trout on the deck of your boat if anyone even comes close and he's small so the referees are giving him the benefit of the doubt. But has he ever been stopping pucks! I mean, he stops both of the canucks shots every game! | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/21/2007 7:47:58 PM | "I mean, he stops both of the canucks shots every game!"
That is way too close to the truth! I'm getting totally fed up with the Canucks not shooting when they have the chance. I don't know how many times in game 5 where we saw Naslund in an excellent scoring position and, instead of shooting, he passed off! Absolute bullsh*t!! You're not going to pass the puck into the net! You HAVE to SHOOT the f#%@kin' thing!! Didn't think much of that whack Burrows put on Morrow, either. Wonder if he was watching tapes of the '72 Canada/USSR series and saw how Bobby Clarke ahh...'neutralized' Kharlamov? All in all, not impressed; to the point where I'm not sure if I'll even bother watching on monday, even if it IS game 7. Watching Dull-Ass and Vancouver is almost as boring as watching the Minnesota Mild and Vancouver. More than anything, a good cure for insomnia.
| Canucks Posted: 4/22/2007 1:42:12 AM | Hey fellow Nucks fans! We're falling apart here. We were up 3-1 and now we're tied at 3-3! As much as I love the Nucks, I'm afraid it'll be curtains on Monday night. Too often before teams have been up in a series 3-1 only to lose it in 7! It's not over yet, it's a pattern that usually results when teams are up 3-1 and then end up getting kicked out in 7. I already knew this was gonna go to 7 games anyways since it's been the goaltenders' show! Both goalies have been awesome, it's just a matter of which one will outdo the other.
But....... ANYWAY....... that's my scoop on this. All I can say is .... go Canucks! Let's hope they win Monday night!
| Canucks Posted: 4/22/2007 3:54:41 AM | | Like Yogi said, It ain't over til it's over, hard to get he champagne corks back in the bottles, Turko doesn't look half so whacky now with back to back shutouts. Should make for a great game 7, nothing like the pressure of being labelled chokers hanging over your head. | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/22/2007 7:22:27 AM | So, Vancouver is down two goals, there's two minutes left, Vancouver has the puck, Luongo is skating to the bench for the extra attacker and what does one of the weak sisters do? He reaches down with his stick, grabs a leg and trips a guy to the ice. Oh BRAVO Sedin! That's a really big league move there. It looks like the Canucks are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. But you never know. These guys weren't even supposed to make the playoffs this year and they've surprised a lot of people so don't count them out just yet. If Dr. Jeckyl shows up instead of Mr. Hyde and seek maybe we see round 2. | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/22/2007 7:45:12 AM | "Too often before teams have been up in a series 3-1 only to lose it in 7!"
It's actually quite rare - less than 10 per cent! It just seems to happen a lot in Vancouver series for some reason.
| Canucks Posted: 4/22/2007 12:13:49 PM | | I still say the Canucks didn't give a rats-ass about game six. They leave after the game thursday and dallas leaves friday morning. you figure it out. Should off started saffy in net too. Get ready for tommorow night. Stars won't come-out. The Canucks aren't the type of team that should do that. Bring-on round two.GO CANUCKS GO. Almost like they let them win last night. | |
| Canucks Posted: 4/23/2007 11:50:36 AM | Vancouver has been on both ends of the 3-1 spectrum its adversity they will come out on top tonight .
if not i will be looking forward to next yr with the additions of luc bourdon and Cory Schneider
| Canucks Posted: 4/23/2007 9:04:46 PM | Round 2 here we come!!!! | |
