@ Vaerstille

Luongo has played 4 more games that Kipper, he has 3 more wins, and 2 more losses than Kipper does... so until Kipper plays the same amount of games your arguement is not valid, of course Luongo stands a better chance of having more wins since he has played more games...

Wins:

Kipper 22
Luongo 25

Games played:

Kipper 39
Luongo 43

GAA:

Kipper 2.28
Luongo 2.47

Shutouts:

Kipper 5
Luongo 2

Save Percentage:

Kipper .921
Luongo .914

Ok, Im not arguing about Kipper/Luongo Im just saying how people are saying that Luongo won the game for the Canucks vs the Leafs which, obviously the team won considering they got 6 GOALS. 6 AWESOME GOALS! You are the one whos trying to match Luongo and Kipper. Im pretty sure as i recall i never ever mentioned anything about Kipper in my posts.

blah blah blah, you could talk about stats for an age.
Luongo is just overall a better goalie. It hasn't been proven until now because he's always been with Florida, which besides 95 has made little to no impact what so ever.

eh, the flames were expected to be top contenders in the Western Conference. Most sports experts picked the Flames to win the Northwest div. On the otherhand, the Canucks were expected to fall just short of the playoffs. Right now, ya gotta be happy with the preformance of vancouver and Loungo is going to get Hart & Vizena trophy consideration.

Looks like Naslund is coming back to form, i believe he has had 5 points in his last 2 or 3 games. Taylor Pyatt will have his best year ever, hopefully the canucks will resign him. Jan Bullis has been a disaster and Trevor is def playing better then last year. Sedin twins are on pace for a hopefully 80 points each.

overall a better goalie? what your kidding? no.. welll then i guess dont know your hockey then eh? kippursof turned the flames from bottom team to a top dog. look the flames before kipper and after. now look at the nucks before and after...well the nucks havnt inproved much if any.

kipper
w-102 L-65 t-7 otl-14 gaa 2.20 s%-.919 so-22
Luongo
w-140 L-184 t-33 otl-10 gaa-2.69 s%.919 so-29

so in one hand you have a proven winning goalie in kipper and a goalie who has done nothing in the nhl. with 181 more starts luongo only has 7 more shutouts. how many playoff games has luongo won as to kipper? vezina trophies? think what you want, but people all other then nucks fans know kipper is way better.

and even just take this season and kipper is doing better.

a great goalie will always find a way to take his team to the top. the 04 flames wernet that skilled but kipper won us games, so thr panters thing doesnt mean anything for robert. he hasnt done anything at all. we will see if the nucks even make playoffs. all i am saying is over rated, overpaid goalies will not take the nucks to the next leval. and kipper is the best in the game today

go flames go
in sutter we trust

I'm actually pretty confident in my knowledge about hockey, thanks.

You say the Flames went from bottom feeder to top dog because of their goalie? Well what about the Canucks? Their improvement since last season is quite significant.

Now, note what i said in my last post about Luongo playing for the Panthers. Look how much of an impact that Kiprusoff had on San Jose when he played for them.. yeah, little to nothing. You put any goalie on Florida, and their record will decline greatly as opposed to playing on the Canucks or Flames.

Comparing records from five or six years ago, it is pointless, mate. Just deal with it, Luongo is making an impact, and come the end of the season, he's going to have out performed Kiprusoff.

Yeah, its a bit disappointing that the Sedins didn't get in especially considering that they have more points than some of the forwards picked. Its a shame that they don't seem to get much recognition - I keep reading about how players encounter the Sedins and are gobsmacked. They kinda look like this little guy trying to keep track of those lovely passes

Montreal seemed really flat.. really flat, and Huet wasn't really on his game all that well, but the goals the Canucks scored were nice, they drove to the next, PK was good as always, Naslund chipped in on a couple of occasions, Bulis scored, and the Kesler line is rolling.

My team isn't Vancouver, but i do like this team! You can't say too many bad things about Luongo, he is one of the best goalies in the league and deserves recognition for it!

Well, so far the Canucks trip out East has been a real breeze... but unfortunately, it's about to hit a wall. Tomorrown night, Canucks VS Sens! It should be an amazing game, since Ottawa and Vancouver are presently two of the best teams in the league!

But my prediction, Ottawa will win and they won't show any mercy! he he

Go Sens Go!

Should be good. The Sens are 10-1-1 in their last 12 games. By the way, did you hear what the coach of the Sens said about the Nucks? He called the Nucks the NJ Devils of the west and that the Nucks basically trap you to death.

I was listening to Team 1040 yesterday and they were going on and on about how the Nucks should trade Bulis. I didn't know that he was being such a biotch. I guess he doesn't even take the bus with the rest of the team, but just shows up in cab. Also, he rarely participates in team building events, like eating dinners or hanging with the guys. I guess he's all choked up about not being able to play on the line he wants to play on and with the players whom he wants to play with. Talk about a cancer in the dressing room. Anyhow, the funniest thing I heard was when a caller phoned in and said, "Normally I'd offer to give Bulis a ride to the airport, but I still haven't gotten the stink of Cloutier out of my upholstery".
