Nine more days
Hunter will be here
Wabbit is doing a great big cheer!!!
She Made It!
Time of the year
has come
where school speeches we write
ideas swirl in a mind
what will come to sight
my ten year old
quite deep in her soul
so decided
that a topic of "racism" would be her goal
my eyes popped open
so serious I replied
yet determined was she
my heart truly sighed
write a speech we did
much learning occured as we went along
yet emphatically she told me
I see this around me mom and it is wrong
finally cards in hand
memorize this she did each day
watching her speak
a momma's heart did sway
first to present
my little girl did her speech
to others around her on this issue
she wanted to reach
good news came
just a few days ago
to her whole school
this topic she will show
so proud of her am I
soon I will go to watch her with pride
a heart thumps wildly
nervous am I for her inside
yet assertive in personality
I know my baby girl will speak without flaw
her momma will be sitting there with grandpa
left in total awe.

I have been blessed with three daughters
two of them seventeen
and have witnessed first hand how life
tests us many times through the course our lifetime
I believe in the strength of love
please tell this mother to hang onto hope
that many of us pray for the children every day
through our strong bond of motherhood and caring
and I too have watched miracles happen
may her answers come swiftly
so they can begin to heal and find peace again. | |

I went through a horrible time in my life, where I was in the depths of despair, and truly saw no way out of the "mental pain" that I was in. I began a prayer vigil morning and night for a period of thirty days straight, and I can honestly tell you my prayers were answered. Give it a try?
