We are all pulling for them

What a weekend this has been
blowing snow
slick roads
has caused for us quite a scene
Flights being cancelled has caused quite a fuss
yet so determined was Hunter
needing to be with his Wabbit
he made getting to her a must
Late Saturday unexpectedly I got a call
seems my sadness
worry of his whereabouts
was for nothing at all
He had found a flight to make his way
I loaded up the van
three kids in blowing snow
"get me to Detroit airport", I did silently pray
Cars in ditches had me worried it's true
yet of this trip
and to be with Hunter
slowly I drove with care to have him in view
Safely to Detroit I did arrive Saturday night
we headed out from there
with worries of Ohio I was nervous
yet they were not roads we needed to fight
Smooth sailing took us to this place I now call home
Hunter at the wheel quite confidently
children playing road trips games
we so joyously all together did to southern lands roam
As we drove I held strongly to his hand
continued over and over to look at him amazed
all he did for us this weekend
to bring us here safely to his land
I tell you my heart is soaring high
to have a man such as this
so dedicated to my children and I
causes in me such a tender sigh
I thank God for bringing us here
that through persistance
dedication of a wonderous man
we now find ourselves again near
After we settle many things we need to do
wedding preparations
school tours for my children
and of course daily telling Hunter with deep sincerity : "I Love you."
No more need to worry Best Kept..I thank you for listening to this worried Wabbit all day Saturday, and for being that great friend that you have always been to me...
Wabbit is out
been a long day
to bed
I now make my way....

We're here safe it's true
enjoying each other's view
yesterday I found my wedding dress
what a decision that caused me some stress
a simple yet flowing gown
not to heavy to cause me in July heat to wear a frown
acessories I will need to find
have a vision of how I wish to look in my mind
a very nice dress for my oldest daughter was also found
vibrant in print yet it suits her for I have always said she walks a different ground
Wedding favours last night were bought
a flower girl basket is now sought
invitations to prepare
true I am kind of pulling my wabbit hair
yet it's fun to plan for this exciting day
where a Hunter and Wabbit shall unite in a special way....
So my friends Wabbit is off to do some wedding shopping
now that the rain has dispursed I will be hopping
be well and take care ya'll

Trying to pick just the right one for this!
All I can do, I'll do with delight

Waking this morning,
Dew still on the ground
Sleepily remembering,
Excitement now found!
Smiling first...
A stretch end to end
Soft words (to self )spoken
"Today it begins!"
Feet touch the floor,
Like never before
(Curious in nature...)
And a knock at the door!
Friends carry coffee
And danish, but see
The Bride's all too giddy
To eat any sweets!
Hugs working wonders
To calm happy nerves
A pep talk now given
Some scheduling deserved!
All is right, the day set in plan
Friends and family lending a hand
Nothing to do but take a bubbly bath
And if you're quite, you may hear the bride laugh!
The groom has been ready,
So is river and land
Excitement has not escaped him,
Checking the time on his watchband!
All who gather this day shall observe
The happiest of unions for two whom deserve
Vows will be spoken of promising words
And all will proclaim:
A better time never had, a better story not heard!
(What will really be curious, is the funny story that really happens on your Big Day!) | |

Little touches from your hand
you offer for our day
my heart softens greatly
your generosity makes my heart sway
As to the actual day.....
I was just down at the river
sitting upon a rock imagining this wedding scene
such a beautiful setting my eyes did find
leaving me feeling so peaceful and serene
I watched my children play
trying to catch small fish along the shore
hearing them giggle together
I truly couldn't ask for more
As I let my mind wander
thinking of the actual day ahead of me
I saw my dear Hunter
standing so nervously underneath that tree
Yet so handsome he stood there
I saw him so clearly in my mind
then next I walked towards him
our hands quickly to each other they did find
Off in a daze as I sat upon this rock
an older man stopped to talk to me today
I told him that soon here
it would be my wedding day
Congratulations he offered
I replied "I am marrying a very sweet man"
when he learned of my origins
his reply was "He must be quite something to have you coming to his lands"
I began to rise for it was time to go
gathered my children to now return home
feeling quite at ease
as together through Alabama we did roam. | |

Wabbit has been buisy
so very much to do
yet it is so much fun
bringing all of this to view
Sunny weather
makes one feel so light
being surrounding by so much love
brings to my heart great delight
Knowing at the end of the day
Hunter comes home to me
our eyes can join
we can simply just together be
I feel such elation
life is full for me again
all that I do now ahead
I do alongside my best friend.

Growing the love
Till both come around
So envied are ones

& enjoying the fruit
While ripe on the vine

How long chances last
Being too patient
May turn the fruit back
~to a seed
~to be sowed
~to one day.....
So happy that Wabby and Hunter didn't do that!

what a delightful scene
an afternoon of sweet words
presented so supreme
I smile knowing
that I have friends such as you
that scamper in to share
in a love found so true
Just found a place
home made southern cooking they make
on bbq chicken and pork we shall dine
perhaps even some steak?
Wabbit's not cooking
no not on her wedding day
I'm hiring these people
to bring good food our way
Last night met Mr. DJ
music he will pay for us to dance
can't wait for that first song though
Wabby and Hunter will be lost in romance
All coming together
my heart prays that squirrels will abound
for this wedding day
would not be fulfilled if we did not hear squirrel sounds
So continue to play

just thought I would hop in to say:

Is now in the making
Pinapple cake and cornbread
Soon she'll be baking
A drawl of an accent
Will easily come
Sliding off of the tip of her tounge
When saying,"Ya'll come"
You best better mean it
For groups will come
After church for a visit!
Saying, "Bless your heart"
Will be an appropiate response
For many acts known, of all sorts
Addressing, "Yes Ma'am & Yes Sir"
Are said, if you please...
And a stern "southern look"
Will bring a child to his knees!
Genteel as a flower
Courageous as a bear
If you mess with her kin folk
Buddy, better beware!
Southern women are passionate
I do declare
We carry it with us
Anytime, anywhere!

Good morning ya'll!
Funny you should speak of women from the south, for I have seen much of what you describe first hand, and you most definitely speak TRUTH.
Yesterday afternoon
a phone call I did make
a seventy nine year old lady
who's been catering for thirty five years
this phone call she did take
told me I most definitely needed to come down
share a cup of tea on her porch
of her lands she would show me around
sweet as pie
she came across to me
yet when talking business
dang if she did not become quite feisty!
I smiled as I listened
to her southern drawl
how different I realized I am
from ya'll......
This is a different world
here in the south
obvious it is to me
as I listen to the lingo that comes from the mouth
I find myself just stopping
to listen to what they say
watch how they interact with others
helps this Wabbit to find her way
these southern women
I find to be quite strong
passionate in actions
one day I hope to belong
right now I am on the outside
just kind of trying to fit in
trust that this is very different for this Northern Wabbit
so lessons from southern women would most definitely help me to begin.....

As far as the baking
well bake I truly do
yet cornbread
has not yet come to my view
We were just talking
the other night
would my speech change as I live here
this caused to me some fright
could it be that one day
I'll be saying "ya'll" and "fixing to" as part of my speach
seems my Hunter man of these words
he is so wanting to teach
I tell him NO I wont talk like that
a grin he gives me as if he knows
that southern I will become
when I leave those lands where it snows.
Buisy day yet again
tonight we go to a school get together
my little one is excited
for outdoors it will be and we have here good weather
they were calling for storms
yet they seem to have stayed away
so off this Wabbit butt I must go
time to begin my day!
