Kissing you softly, as our hearts race
The passion, the love, it's so sweet

This wish will happen, in 20 more days
I will kiss, hug and love you, i so many ways
So know it will happen, it's never a dream

Daydreaming, I found myself at the fair
When I saw something I wasn't dismissing
My tongue played with my teeth, like one was lose
The cutest guy I ever seen
....was in a kissing booth!
I saw the sign,
as I stood in line
One small dime,
For his time
So I cleared my voice, and had no choice
but to stand waiting my turn for that boy
A kiss for a dime, a bargan for the joy
Finally I greet him and look into his eyes
Like a mirror they were
and blue as the sky
I think he knew me...he looked in my soul
When he said are you ready
I was ready to roll!
Leaning in slowly, I was leaning in too
It was love at first kiss
This of course, I knew!
I gave him a dime...& another one too
For I stopped for some change...

Thought I would share a couple of poems that my 9 year old and I created this afternoon, it seems my girls have the souls of writers as well.........poets we may not be, but we try....
Summertime
Playful puppies jumping in the air
They frolick all day without a care
Butterflies and bees flying around
I can hear their musical sound
The grass is so green
It's the most vibrant I've ever seen
Toddlers laughing as they play in dirt
Mommy says "Look at your shirt!"
Flowers are blooming, what a sight
They grow with rays from god's sunlight
Air conditioning keeps us cool
Kids don't have to go to school
Fresh air to breathe in
This brings everyone a big grin
Summer is so vibrant , full of colour and fun
This is the time for EVERYONE!
