this isn't like getting a driver licence. there is no age limit. just do what feels right. talk to your friends and older female role models.

P.S. a girl who loses thier virginity sometimes becomes very "clingy" to the one that took it. that can be very scary to a guy.

and it's good to know that there are some girls with wholesomeness on this buggered up planet.

Though with all honesty, if you need to ask if its ok to still be a virgin, then you are not ready. :) I only say that because I know for myself I felt pathetic about being a virgin, and I'm glad I waited until I didn't care weather or not I was. Then when I stopped caring about the peer pressue everything kinda feel in place for me.

I would be suspicious of a low libido, and would never marry a woman who was over 25 and still a virgin. I won't buy a pair of shoes with out trying them on first.
I would be scared that she would be the type who would only have sex once a month or something, (after you begged), and she would act like it was a chore.
Whereas I'm the type who likes passionate love making on a daily basis.
It's not pathetic or sexy. But if she was attractive, got dates, not a nun, not disfunctional socially, and still a virgin into her mid to late 20's that would be a rare thing that would probably be very aggrivating, and not worth the price of admission.

It is Never Pathetic if its a goal or a reason for it. But frackly if your trying to give it away and can't? For a healthy attractive woman? LOL I'll be honest that would be kinda sad really. But if your looking for the right guy and a great relationship there is nothing wrong with that no matter what your age. <img src=http://www.plentyoffish.com/smiles/icon_201.gif border=0>

Its neither sexy nor pathetic. Its that person's choice and you or no one else have any right to judge that person.

Dude... I was 21. And STILL I wish I'd done things a little differently. But 21 was 1/2 circumstance, 1/2 choice. Doesn't matter, really. I say it would be better to lose it later than earlier though (for a girl anyway) If it isn't a meaningful relationship, it won't feel very special when you look back on it. *See 2nd sentence*

WOW...listen to you people...I am 26 years old, and I am not ashamed to say I am a virgin. But damn you people are harsh to say things like, if you are a virgin over the age of 25, then you would be odd, or considered to be weird....since when did society have the right to judge others on being a virgin. OP..my advice to you is, there is no age where it would be considered pathetic if you were still a virgin. It is all about the reasons you set forth to why you choose to be a virgin.

It probably sounds like a double standard, but it seems different when a guy is a virgin over some imaginary age limit. It's more serious I think that a woman choose her own time, whenever that may be for her. But I'm a grandpa so I tend to be a wee bit over protective of my girls.....

I would NEVER think a woman(or a man)was 'pathetic', just coz they were a virgin.......they'd be a reason..........

Being a virgin and not wanting have sex.. for whatever reasons should never be considered 'pathetic' if it is important to the person making that choice...

Who gives a damn what anyone thinks... be true to yourself.

I am not religious, but I do feel that waiting until one is in a monogamous, committed relationship (ie, engaged to be married, or if one's religion calls for it, married) is a wise move, especially in this day and age of diseases and unwanted pregnancy. Stick to your guns, you will be glad you did.

there is nothing sexy about someone being a virgin, and there is nothing sexy about someone not being a virgin... someone's body and personality are what makes them sexy... everything before sex are all just fun and games, they feel good, but it doesn't really matter if you like the person in just a physical way or more, but sex is something that should only be shared with someone that you really care about a lot or that you love... just my opinion...

What I find pathetic is the concept of "losing" one's virginity rather than "giving" it to the one you love.

You only have ONE gift like that to give to another person.
Don't toss it away frivolously.

I don't see it as sexy or pathetic. One should only do it when they are ready.

No offense, but your question is unbelievably immature!! Whether men prefer angels or devils has nothing to do with how old a woman (women presumably meaning over the age of 18) is when she loses her virginity. It's a personal choice!

in my opinion / i think we all prefer a little of / both.
enjoy it when u do , "do it!!"

u'll have to be with a vibrant man, who better/ b up-for-it.
it's alot of hmm,"storage"!!!
don't rush/ find the right one for yourself/ and him/ (for u both)
i don't think it's pathetic at all!!/ frustrating, yes./
especially, when you know what it can and does feel like.
not knowing/ well.......hmm, take it slow!!

For me it would depend on the rational as to why they are still a virgin. Religious reasoning to me is pathetic for example. I can't imagine many good reasons why I wouldn't think it was pathetic that an older woman was still a virgin. They would include things like being very unattractive, unable to because of some disability etc.

I do prefer a woman that has a dirty mind..

I'm a 23 year old virgin. Completely. The most intimate i've been with a woman was a hug...

But I also consider myself a very sexual person. I'm not a virgin because i'm abstaining either, just haven't had... the chance I guess?

Suffice to say, my life-long girlfriend PALMela gets a very vigorous daily workout. :\
