As much as personal attraction is a starting point sometimes, I would say just look at the person within. Bald? So what? People in glass houses etc.....

erm, no wouldnt find it very attractive

I guess everyone has their own preferences, but the other things I could have quoted were just a bit mean.

I hope no one was offended by some of the responses. And yes, to answer someone's question, there are a few bald women on this dating site.

In my opinion, I think both bald men and women are attractive.

hmmmmm i had a huge cancer scare in my twenties and i was more worried about losing my hair than anything else. My brother-in-law at thle time made al sorts of jokes about wigs but i always said if it came to that i'd never wear one & would just shave my head & be proud of who i am. I someone had a problem with it then that was their problem & not mine!

I had cancer, and the most annoying thing in the world is a wig. Its horribly itchty, they get tangled easily and require a lot of care... it was just a hassel for me, I wore a cap or a bandana and I didnt really care who looked at me cause i had a shiny dome!!!

As for getting dates, I was in a relationship at the time so I woudnt really know, losing my hair didnt affect my partner and I at all, and if people are open minded enough not to judge, then they should be abe to see past the baldness.

Also if a woman wants to shave her head.... thats her right!!!!

Well I guess That Gail Porter still looks ok but what does that matter anyway. Yes there would that initial stare from people and the assumption that she must have cancer by onlookers ( it happened to a friend with alopecia) however the novelty for onlookers would soon wearoff People who are not blessed with filmstar looks more often their personality shines through. and just think of the time and money to be saved with not going to the hairdressers!

Absolutely. A bald women who is confident about her sexuality can be beautiful. As for going au natural in public, I have enough confidence in myself to view it as something for others to become accustomed to. Baldness is my preference - not a prerequisite - in a woman.

I think i would rather date a Bald woman over any other. As with the money saved on fancy Haircuts and expensive Shampoos we could use toward My dream of building a Bar in my front room.

Baldness can be sexy - on a sexy man.

And yes, if Baldchick was the woman in question, I would date a bald woman.

I'd date Dr Acid too, if I wasn't so damned scared of Cedric!

Thats really interesting to hear you thoughts, just shows how many of us "bald women" there are. Its something that did not overly bother me as I was married when it happened and thought wrongly that my hb took it in his stride, but obviously not, he said it effected him greatly....well what the f..k did he think it did to me! When you are feeling vunrable its just another thing to get over. But its good to know that there is hope !

I think both bald women and men can look very attractive! If I was ever to be bald for any reason I think I would have to wear a wig or headscarf. I've had so many things happen to my head it must be covered in scars!

Well if any of you people who have hair have ever wondered what you would look like bald, try this link:

http://womanheadshaving.baldlygo.com/

Upload a photo of yourself and hey presto...the site removes your hair so you look bald...well worth a try... ...i'm gonna keep popping back on there to see if anybody on here has actually been on and done it.
The results could be interesting

oh wow...thats great fun, can see me spending time doing that, always wondered what I would look like with long blond straight hair. There are some "men" bits. I have always thought men looked good bald, might have something to do with growing up in the skinhead age.

Yes!!! as long as she wouldnt try and steal my razors or my lush shaving cream or my moisuriser...other than that, yeah!
Stop and think of the advantages.
1) Less electricity usage to get ready. (no hairdryer, curlers, straightners, hot rollers, hot oils for conditioners etc etc..)
2) mutual grooming. I shave you smooth and shiny, you shave me smooth and shiny, build that trust..esp with a sharp thing in each others hand capable of so much damage
3)Just to see the look on others faces!
4)To annoy the easily annoyed in society
5) to feel that scalp/erogenous zone and she knows what im doing but to everyone else im just stroking her head ;-)
6)Its sexy. sexy as in have to wear loose fitting pants and walk slowly for fear of permanent damage south of the bellybutton fluff line!

Anyone have any fault with any of the above?

I had my head shaved for charity in 1985 but I wouldn't do it again as I felt a bit silly and as though everyone was pointing at me and giggling. With regards to my lady beard , I used to trim it but in the last 18months I keep finding more and more in my gussett of an evening so I don't need to bother, thank goodness.

Prototype:
That is the ickiest reason.......yeuchhh!!!!

Well prototype i was referring to her errogenous zone, if you never been shaved bald or asked a bald man, then trust me, you wont even have a clue of what im referring to.

Prototype:Up the Irish......tiocfaidh ar lar!!
Me: Well while you have been gone there have been a few developments let me refresh your memory.
1) The IRA are gone, the war is over, it was never won by anyone.
2) We have for the first time since I can remember a real prospect of peace in our time. (apparently Ulster says yes after all).
3) The good Friday agreement was voted for by the people both sides of the island and is working.

So please, do not insult me with those stupid IRA comments from a long gone time ago when its sole purpose was to cause division, hate and death. Those days are gone in this land. I may be from Cork, but don't mistake me for siding with the side of terrorists and murderers.
After all would you go into Harlem and stand there and shout "What idiot freed the ni***** s?!"
Please show the same respect, as you know nothing of my personal history or dealings in life and comments like yours are inflammatory.
I hope this clariffies a few issues for you.

Listen Magnificent Mick......

I made absolutely no infammatory remarks and I demand an apology from you immediately...

Since when did "Tiocfaidh ar La" mean anything other than "sieze the day" ???

Carpe bloomin' Diem baldy, your lack of hair has gone to your head!!
