Posted: 1/12/2007 8:21:31 PM | I don't know about hot, but I will say I find it attractive. I think most people are of the opinion that riding motorcycles is a 'mans thing'. I like a woman who's not afraid to go out and do what she wants and not worry about what others are going to think. ie: 'eewww she rides a harley she must be easy'. To me it bespeaks a measure of her confidence in who she.
OP, do a google search on motorcycle safety foundation. They are pretty much the best site for info on learning to ride safely. With links to certified instructional courses in an area near you. | |

A harley mechanic dies and goes to heaven. When he gets there he gets into a disscussion with god about what is designed better, bikes or women. After long winded debate with the big guy, god finally says "Look, you might have the better design, but more guys are riding mine."

Posted: 1/13/2007 6:14:14 AM | Ok, now you got me to thinking about riding again. Been a while since the current temp here is -2. Brrrrrr.
So, a woman riding a bike can be quite sexy, especially when she is a lady both on and off the bike.
But even sexier. . . .When she is riding behind me on the bike, pressed up against me, with her arms wrapped around me tightly. We are just out for a spin with no real purpose, just scenery. After a while (she knows riding turns me on) her hands slip down and find my thighs, which she starts slowly rubbing. I can feel her pulling us together more tightly and her hands just keep roaming. There isn't a damn thing I can do about it as I have to keep my hands on the bars so she is pretty much free to enjoy herself. Now that is damn sexy. It also tells me the bike ride is over. . . it is time to turn around and head for the barn and a different kind of riding.

Posted: 1/13/2007 6:38:58 AM | I understand this is "Ask a Guy", but I had to put my two cents in. I'm learning to ride this Spring and already have my eye on a pretty little Harley! I don't give a hoot whether men think I look hot on it or not. I love the bike and that's all that matters to me.
I agree that some women look a little butch on them, but it's all a matter of attitude. Some of these chicks are the sweetest gals and some of 'em could snap you like a twig... lol
It's not a toy and they're serious when riding. The odds are against a rider, so it's all business when on the road.

I hate it but it still exist out there Biker Stereotyping, open your eyes it went out in the 60,s
Chicks on bikes are hot it’s a sport for all types now open to everyone and most all people involved in the sport will welcome you with open arms.
If you do decide to go for it definitely take a rider safety course it will help you tremendously and start with a lighter bike you can always move up to that Harley. | |

Eyceprincess, don't worry about whether guys will think you are hot. As you can see from the responses, some will, and some won't.
Make sure you take a motorcycle safety training course. They will teach you most of what you need to know. Then get a street and trail bike. No bigger than a 250cc. Then go out and ride back roads, trails, and play in the mud. This will teach you more about handling a bike than five years of street riding, and you can still ride it around town. And not being afraid to ride in the dirt gives you more outs in an emergency situation.
After some experience you will be in a position to decide what type of street bike is right for you. Maybe you want a Harley, maybe you won't. Maybe one of the Japanese cruisers is just right for you. Or you might even find that you have a taste for moving at a great rate of speed, and go for a Ducati. The Japanese manufacturers are very good at making bikes that move quickly for a reasonable price. Or maybe you will find that discovering the countryside is more to your liking, and there are some nice sport touring bikes around, like BMW or the Kawasaki Concours. Nobody here can tell you what is right for you, all you'll get here are personal preferences. You'll have to figure it out yourself.
At any rate, I commend you for wanting to ride. I've been doing it for 33 years, and it's been in my blood as long as I could crank my arm and go Vroom-Vroom.
One final point. If you are doing it just to look hot, don't. | |

By looking at my photos, you don't think, "yep, she's a Harley chic!" Sooo... What exactly is a "Harley chic?"
Would it be different if I said I wanted a crotch-rocket, a Honda or some other sport-bike? Does the bike make the woman, or the perception of the woman? I'm not saying what you do/don't think would change my mind, I was just curious!
BTW... I'm buying the bike! I'll learn how to ride later. For now, I'm letting "friends" chauffer me. Gotta love it!!! | |

Only wish I were in Chicago, I would like to ride with you anytime! Good luck but take the advice given and go to a motorcycle riders safety class. It will teach you the basics of clutch controll and riding on the road as in turns starting, stopping etc. Just basic but a good class as well.  | |

To me more often than not - it is a turn off.
I’ve had motorcycles my entire life. A female that can actually stall a 600-800 pound motorcycle from falling over - is WAY to big for me.
I fully agree that smaller gals can RIDE a motorcycle but - even with the years and years and years of experience I have - there are times when it does take some strength AND skill.
I don’t have a problem with a medium sized gal on a medium size bike - like a 500 cc light weight metic (crotch rocket) - the ones that go for the 800 pound Road Kings (not always) but seem a bit to masculine for my taste.
My final answer is no - not to me - it does not make her ummm hotter - but it is none of my business. | |
