It was great! I went with 4 girlfriends we didn't have enough tissues. We were like wiping our faces on each others clothes when our won sleeves were too wet.
I loved hearing the men around us sniffling. Nothing better than a man sniffling in a movie.
It was great. A must see.

| What's your favorite tearjerker movie? Posted: 2/6/2008 9:41:51 PM | The movie that gets me the most lately is Jersey Girl.
When I first watched it, I was expecting a love story about a widower who meets a new girl. Instead, I got a movie about a father who learns to love his daughter. Hits me in my soft spot every time. Make me laugh and cry. (And may be George Carlin's most serious movie role.)

I know this story was made into a movie several times, but when I see the stage version of Les Miserables, the tears just flow no matter how hard I try not to cry. Especially the scene when Fontine dies.

| What's your favorite tearjerker movie? Posted: 2/20/2008 6:58:58 PM | i wouldn't really say that it's a tearjerker movie but one scene reminded me so much of what i went through just like a lot of other women.
the movie is "the break up" with jennifer aniston and vince vaughn
the scene was when brooke (jennifer aniston) was sitting on her bed crying after being stood up by gary (vince vaughn). brooke told gary that she did everything for him..."cleaning up after him, laying his clothes out, cooking, cleaning", and planning social events only for him not to appreciate the commitment that she had put into the relationship. even though she had broken up with gary she still loved him and tried to make him jealous at first to get him back. when that didn't work she asked him to go to a concert of a band that he liked with tickets that she brought before the break up. he said he was going to be there and never went.
it's funny how men and women do things for each other only for their partner not to take notice or even appreciate. when things go unappreciated by our partners that's when it's really hard. imo.

| What's your favorite tearjerker movie? Posted: 6/23/2008 3:33:45 PM | I enjoy reading Nichols Sparks Novels and the reality that he tends to write about those in his family. My first tear jerker movie that I cried at was Love Story till I saw the films Message in the bottle and Notebook , also Walk to remember this man is truly one remarkable author.
There is nothing like cuddling up with the one you enjoy being with and poping popcorn and staying in for the evening and watching a good dvd and having him or her console you!
That to me is the best TLC comming from the romantic woman in me I do believe in power of love and romance have to say I love good movies, and sharing that quality time with someone and making great fond memories with them.
Great Topic Thank you for posting it! Have a great summer everyone Yours, Brenny

| What's your favorite tearjerker movie? Posted: 8/4/2008 7:10:46 PM | Yes Jim, To answer your question I do remember the movie IMATATION OF LIFE what a good classic movie and Lana Turner did a nice job acting in it and Sandra Dee and John Gavin as well the funeral at the end was fitting and quite moving.
The two moms of sweet little girls one white and the other black were trying to make it and raise there kids alone and went through so much to do it. The movie touched on a little bit of everything, from homeless during the depression , race sex , hardships , money and fame , maturity , love , passion and death.
The ending of the movie really got to me when the girl ran up to her dearly departed moms casket and cried it goes to show becareful what you say to someone today for tomorrow it can come back to haunt you and be too late!
Excellent movie I have it on dvd also read the book it was a remake too!
Nice to know that people to appreciate classic old films , like I do. Want Some PopCorn ? Yours,Brenny
