You know what, Outdoorsgirl... I get myself pink tulips whenever I can find them. They are highly seasonal but when I can find them I have a gorgeous deep-blue vase I put them in and then display them on my diningroom table. They get prettier and more artsy-looking as they start to droop!
I loved a bouquet of hand picked wild sunflowers more than any purchased flowers I have ever received. I also loved the bouquet of Queen Anne's Lace and Golden rod so much it made me weepy. For me it very much is the thought and effort that the man provided.

I love that idea except for the florist part. Flowers from a florist always seem somewhat artificial to me. It's probably because they've been bred that way.
