anyone interested in starting this again ( seems it was popular in the past ), chatted with some regulars at Lloyds and they said Mondays would be the slowest time ( less little kids ), either day...Monday or Thursday is fine by me ~~~~~ any takers???

Wow I grew up at the roller rink years ago in Nova Scotia. The old-fashioned kind though with four wheels....those ugly beige ones with the orange stoppers. I used to "shoot the duck" and could even rollerskate successfully backwards. God do I ever feel old all of a sudden.

Nevertheless I'd love to give this a whirl again. I do hope that I can rent the four wheelies again.

I'll keep watching this thread to see if this flys or should I say rolls.

I take my family once at month on Thursday nights and it only costs $10 for a family of six plus rental - they really don't check it out - so I think as long as you are a group of 6 or less ... the $10 is good to go ...

Yup I'm in!

Bringing the skates, just cannot see blading indoors. And being inside Lloyd's wouldn't be the same without roller skates.. To me anyway!!!

Jestie - you want my bike helmet??

This sounds like fun. but.
I can't skate (roller or otherwise)
I have weak ankles (very slim and nice, but weak)
I have the worst balance of anyone I know.

Think I'll pass.

TAG, Jestie is IT!! everyone stay away from the walls and we should be able to be safe all night!!

Any one ever dance on these things?? Do they play music while we are out there??

We might need "we will rock you " if Jestie finds her "wheels"!! and you gotta wear skates you can't go barefoot!!
