Posted: 12/3/2007 9:11:44 PM | Thanks everyone for going, it was fun and great exercise. Definately have to do this again. Especially since I left my skates there to be tuned up and have to go back and pick them up. Anyone know how Sunday night is there?
'Jestie' seems I'm always picking you up off the ground.. Hope you are not too sore tomorrow. 'Duffy' you have to learn to empty out your pockets before you go next time. 'knee high' I know you'll be going more often now on those new fast skates. And he thinks it was all in the skates...

lol.. i grew up on 86th ave.. just a few blocks from there.. starting around 7 years old.. i used to walk there.. to skate.. and.. meet the "slinky chicks"... who made me feel all squirmy inside.. to watch.. lmao!!!

I first went there 26 years ago at 15 and went almost every weekend until I was 19. When I'm there now, I'm always amazed how everything still looks the same. I didn't realize it was in a different building prior to that one. It does have a wooden floor...is that unusual or something?

Sure wish I could, as last week was fun and great exercise  Definately in again soon or next Monday. Althought trying to get there to pick up my skates.....
Talking about old rinks, I did go to Lloyds a bit as a teenager, however more so hung out at Rollerland... Which is not rollerskating anymore And then there was Hollywood Roller Gargdens just north of Lloyds..
Last week I couldn't believe they still play some of the old great skating tunes.. Celebration!!!!
