| what is love??????? Posted: 4/24/2007 12:19:51 AM | If love is always remembering to put the toilet seat down, then I am in love with every woman on earth! Thanks __________ (ex wife/girlfriends name goes here). Actually, I start asking myself, "could this be love?",when she pops into my head uncontrollably during a surf session. Also, if my heart beats like a hammer when see her email in my inbox it could be love...oh baby, do it again...put it in my inbox. Yikes! I hope no one was listening.

| what is love??????? Posted: 4/24/2007 2:47:37 AM | Love is a feeling of comittment to another. Comitting to doing your best in a relationship. Love is the willingness and action of putting aside your own selfish thoughts and actions and putting anothers feelings first. Also it is compramising within reasonable limits and not feeling resentment. Love couples don't just give 50%/50% , but instead put forth efforts of 75%/75%!
*The most I have done for love was the toughest. I set her free as they say! I moved and ended it making a decisin for her. Which I feel there was nothing to consider, Either she went with me and left her child with her ex.(a real****! Or stayed and fought for custody. I told her goodbye and well "set her free"! You see Iam a father and feel that no person should come before your child. Ok maybe right up there close but never "BETWEEN"!

| what is love??????? Posted: 4/24/2007 10:58:17 AM | I don't think that anyone knows what love is anymore? The word has been thrown around so much that I don't even think it has a meaning anymore. It is about as much used as Hello is in everyday conversations. How can you throw the word love around to almost everyone that has a "meaning" in your life. The word love was meant to show that you have the strong feelings, a wont of a person. If there was such a thing as love, then there wouldn't be such a thing as divorce, break-up, or hearthache. The WORD love is now used for everything, as a way of saying I miss you, I'm sorry, I'll be there, please forgive me. It's never meant or said with the meaning that it may have once had.
To be married you are supposed to be in love with that person, and have only eyes, heart, and wont for that one person, right. Or is it until you find that someone else, that makes you feel the lust, the want, and the excitement. How can a married woman/man who says they love you everyday, be able to have those feelings while sleeping with someone else, or just being with someone else. How can you love someone, while having feelings for someone else. The biggest commitment in the world is brought by love, yet, it falls apart on deception, and lust. Not even "love" can save a marriage or relationship that has been scarred by deception, lust, infedelity, and even hate.
Love is supposed to be the feeling you get in your stomach when you think of that one person that you have in your life, that no matter how bad it may get, or how hard times are that you'll never leave their side because your world would fall apart without that one person. Love is when you can stare into that one persons eyes long enough to be able to be smiling right back at them and not know why you're smiling. Love is when you turn 65 together, you're still able to hold hands and walk arm in arm together. Love is the feeling you get when it's time to go home, you know you're going to see him/her there and you can't wait. When she/he walks in a room, you can't help but feel their presence, they light up all your days when you're mad or sad. They can lift your feeling up higher than anyone else, you can feel yourself walking on water, just knowing that you have them there with you.
But the truth be told, there is no longer such a thing as love. Just an empty word that is used because it's what we grew up knowing. If you're in a relationship, you love them. If you're married, it's because you love them. If all that was true, then why are you sitting here on a computer, trying to have someone else figure out what love is for you?

To risk, your own vulnerablilty towards the needs of another, without thinking of yourself... to be a tool for God..

| what is love??????? Posted: 1/6/2008 7:44:25 PM | Love is when your brain turns to marshmallow and the irrational becomes possible. A bit negative?
It is how a lot of people react to love and I myself can gauge my own level of feelings by the ultruistic, giving nature that just happens when we fall in love. We do for the other without reason or cause. We forgive at times beyond what we should and we look back and realize how much time and attention the other is getting in our worlds.
In scriptural break down we see that love is kind, unselfish, not jealous, it doesn't hold record of wrongs, ... etc....ending with it never fails.
To get it right...I think it needs to extent beyond the marshmallow brained gitty phase to a more realistic level: it is being willing to lay down your life for the other [and that is when two people should get married and not a minute before] (This too is scriptural...there is no greater love).
Ask yourself would you lay down your life for your parents, your child, for some even their pets? That is when it is real (or as far as pets...really wacky -- take your pick ).

| what is love??????? Posted: 1/6/2008 8:17:58 PM | You're in love when the enfatuation ends and you still want what's left. You're in love when it's hard to fall asleep without her next to you. You're in love when you selflessly want to be a better person. You're in love when she cheats on you and you still want her. You're in love when she files a restraining oder against you and you violate it. You're in love when you kidnap her dog and shave it bald only to mail the hair to her just to say: Hi. You're in love when you would punch your brother in the face if he were to say a bad thing about her. | |

| what is love??????? Posted: 1/6/2008 10:34:17 PM | Love is ever changing, yet timeless. Boundless yet confined. It rises to great heights and falls to deep depths. It is calm as a babe in slumber and raging like a tempest. It is as vast as the universe and as close as our own skin. Love is peaceful and wages war. It brings forth life, and causes death. It is our greatest gift and our worst nightmare. It can heal our woes and cause us the most pain. It has inspired our greatest creations and instigated our worst destruction. Love is the most fickle of emotions. Hate is always hate. Love ebbs and flows like Giant Sea Kelp with the tides. Love to all of you, in the best of it's form.
