I mean this is not a romantic story ... I lost my purse and this guy found it ... there wasn't anything in my purse that had my number on it ... my name, my address but my number is unlisted ... I lost my purse at 7:00 this guy called me at 10 that night ... somehow he investigated and found my number ... he left his name and number ... I called him back and he dropped off my purse at the place I asked him to drop it off ... when it was there the next day ... I was able to locate his address, etc. and sent him a gift certificate ... so yeah, if they want to call you they will ... so, yeah, don't sweat it ... | |

Posted: 7/10/2007 11:55:11 PM | a friend of mine told me his motto of " no expectations, no disappointments", I tend to agree to a certain extent. But prefer to agree with the people who have said, just live your life and have fun! They definitely aren't worth your time of day if they don't call...but sometimes there are emergencies, or family/friend situations that they basically have to drop everything to attend to immediately. These will usually call you at a later date though.....but, the best thing is to live a complete life in and of yourself, and move on! And, live your life fully, and stay busy.... it's definitely more high school drama if you sit and mope around....get out and live!  
You will find the good , the bad and the ugly in life.... it's how you choose to respond and move on that will tell the difference, and make you more appealing if you carry on in life! and some things just aren't worth wasting our energies over....take up a hobby, volunteering, get busier or take things slower.....just do! | |

Us women are just as bad, sad to admitt but come one, im sure atleast every girl has given out the wrong number or never called the person. But guys have a reputation for doing it more often, lol. Now I just chaulk it up as them not being interested, married, in a relationship already or just a jerk player who likes to string people along. I give them a few days and if I don't hear anything by the third day or so, I just move along as there is no point in stressing out over it. Sometimes there are legitimate reasons why they didn't call and it was ok. Women are guilty of this too, its not gender specific. | |

Posted: 8/8/2007 7:14:38 PM | Working on a helpdesk/Sales floor, you find out quickly, "ill call you" more often or not means "i'm not interested" or "you just did something that turned me off, and i want this to end now".
Try asking for Multiple ways of contacting someone ( home line, e- mail, IM, or plenty of fish account). if he's interested in the slightest, he'll give you both, which will mean he/ she (works both ways people) will want to hear from you again. IM probably works best, e-mail is ok but if he has a spam filter he doesn't check, you're hooped.
Girls will "not call back" for the same reasons a guy wont, and the reasons aren't always bad. Some people are shallow, shy or twitterpated by the experience, that they may not like the phone right away. send an e-mail and ask to get together for coffee. if they show, awesome. if not try again. Still no luck? Guess they wont know what they're missing, will they? | |

Posted: 8/9/2007 10:30:33 AM | | one time a girl gave me her number in the bar i didnt ask for it but i was expected to take her number which i did politly. so 2 weeks go bye and i didnt call her. i had no interest i wasent attracted to this girl i didnt want her as a girlfriend and i wasent looking for a new friend. sure as shite i run into her at the same bar and her and a friend approach me and start tearing me a new one because i didnt call. turns out a friend of mine sits at their table so i joined him and got flamed some more totally ruining my night sendin me home angry. one of the things she said was I gave you my number u were SUPPOSED to call me. all i could say was yea u gave me your number but who says i was supposed to do anything. Like i said i didnt ask for the number it was givin to me provided i called her wouldent that be leading her on? Who calls someone and says yea.... i know this is our first phone convo but I Dont Like You and this will be our last convo, have a great decade Chow! it dont work like that. ive discovered there is no way of sugarcoating anything when it comes to relationships and disputes. Somebody gets offended and crushed and usually blows up in your face wether its anger or emotional stress. I believe sometimes that some things are better left unsaid which is why a phone call isnt necessary | |
