Has anyone noticed that the BACK UP singers are horribly off key for the contestant that will for sure be voted off???? Throughout this season we always had a good hint at who was going, and I picked the right one each time because of the back-up. Sad. I feel really bad for Blake because I'm sure at one point during his last opportunity to give it his all he could hear how bad they were and I'm certain they were throwing him off and he probably knew that's how it was working too. It was a bad song for him anyway..almost written for Jordin alone. Jordin was amazing and she knows she won it and that's great, but I still can't help but feel really bad for Blake.
That kid will still go far, but after this season I'm done watching. It seemed to be 'rigged' from the beginning again...the back-up singers really need to go, because they are more of a hindrence to the 'players' than they are a help.
That's my American Idol rant. Too bad Canadian Idol doesn't have Simon - otherwise I'd watch that one too! hehe | |

He got slaughtered by singing it first, and then being shown how it should be sung. Not his fault. I bet the producers picked that song so the "right person" won.
I don't think it's that great a song either. If that's the best they got, sign me up to write.
Looks like Jordin will win. At least she'll replace Fantasia as the black female face of American Idol. I never did get how she won, although I would say that was the weakest season talent wise.
My prediction for next year...the winner will be a copy of Usher. They need a black hip-hop image now because they've covered the other markets.
Lastly, why the hell do they think it's a singing competition. It's a friggen popularity contest. If it were about singing, Melinda would have won. | |

And if you allow exclusion by vote, it is in essence a popularity contest.. thats the whole basis of the show.
It would also be more beneficial if they only allowed ONE vote per phone number.
As for Melin-duh winning.. she was not that good. Jordin beat her daily.
And as for the 'tells' on whos going to be voted off..
They seriously messed with the mic's with certain people on a weekly basis.
They messed with Sanjaya, Phil and last night as well with my boy Blake as well.
(I spent 3 years as a sound engineer.. i know the differnece between bad mic and bad performer)..
its attrocious.. but ultimatly, it's not about who is crowned, who wins or loses, it's all about $$$ and how much they will make off the back of this 17 year old girl. | |

That song is the song that will be the winners 1st single. And it is always 1 of the 3 songs that the 2 finalists sing and I'm pretty sure it is the last song that is always sung as well

I know that 2 American Idol winners managed to fire the American Idol producers when their career's were not happening. Perhaps they paid their way out.
That greedy Simon Cowell just keeps roping them in on the way to the damn bank!!
Getting sick of Paula Abdul... her "I am so nice and everyone is groovy" routine is getting old.
Ryan Seacrest should stop acting like he is one of the producers and just announce without his silly antic's..
Randy seems to be the only one keeping it real...dawg.
Bette Midler looked divine... she is one great talent that just keeps getting better and so does Gladys Knight. Speaking about Gladys, she picked who she felt were the winners by having the 2 great women contestants sing along with her. It was so obvious.
Jordin is beauty and grace with a voice. She will go far if she can disassociate with the producers of American Idol and Simon for her records.
Taylor Hicks is just that... a hick! Gosh who told him to wear that silver shirt with his grey hair? He kept jumping around to his boring song... trying to sell it. Blake should have joined him and did some bee bop upside his head while singing.(smile)
Fantasia is my superstar for the ultimate American Idol. Jennifer Hudson is next.
By the way, I thought Eddie Murphy should have won the Oscar for his portrayal in Dream Girls.
Ok finished my rant... till next Idol.
Canadian Idol sucks big time... maybe if they get rid of Ben Mulroney who looks like the kid in the Monsters series... Eddie, with that hairdo.

wen the show was over,,,at least 5 of those idols all had contracts waiting in the back to be signed...
