lakisha tonight - i've seen better versions of that song (but she is also very good)
i like blake's version of this song too.
and one of the two amazing girls kiki or melinda, WILL be voted off before top 3. it's just how they do it!
watch this year's chicken little (sanjaya) pull top 3! lol

Posted: 3/13/2007 7:33:07 PM | Jordin did great and to be told that she is on her way to being in the same league as Lakisha and Melinda, I'm sure she was shocked to hear that.
Melinda made Paula cry and Paula blamed it on sneezing, but she was a blubbering mess after Melinda finished the song lol.
Of all the guys, only Blake did well IMHO and that's because he made the song his own by making the arrangment and performance more modern.
Gina rocked.
Haley looked HOT, but she forgot the words.
As for the rest.... I forget, they were so bad, honest! lol
Why do I get the feeling Randy is NOT a fan of Diana Ross' music? | |

As for "Side Show Bob" (again refering to hair - Chris Sligh) was better than "goldielocks" (sanjaya)

He seems like a nice kid and all and he has a sweet voice but jeez since his sister left he has lost his edge. It seems that she was the only person he was ever any good at competing against.
But so far all I can remember from last night was Melinda, Lakesha and the rocker girl she was good. From the guys's side I would have to say Beatboxer Blake, he was on. Chris messed up that song for me and it was one of my favorite Diana Ross songs till he sang it.
But it's a girl's year this one, if AMERICA votes for TALENT and not popularity. Didn't they learn from Jennifer Hudson...jeezwiz. | |

Without that site, there is NO way he would be in second place according to the prediction website. That site also has all the fans of H. Stern radio show behind the votes as well.
Pity something like that could ruin a good show and cost more deserving contestants a chance. They need to stop voting for Sanjaya, put him out of his misery. | |

Posted: 3/19/2007 5:42:20 PM | There is no way this is a singing contest. Open your eyes and ears people. This is a reality TV show and has little to do with singing.
Edit: Some of you might find my following opinions racist.
This season is about getting a unique looking/ethnicaly variant winner. They have had the two white girls, one white guy (and Clay), one big black guy and one black girl. They can't have another homogenized winner because it adds nothing new.
If you look at the selected talent this year, none of the white girls stood out whatsoever. If they wanted, they could have one like they had in the past and made a sob or inspiring story for any of them to make them appeal. I'm sure one of them could have been chosen.
As for the guys, none of them have the pure talent that a few of the ladies do. Sideshow Chris and beat-box boy are talented, but not winners.
I'm surprised there hasn't been anyone hispanic in the running. The hispanic population in the U.S. is greater than the "African American" and they should have a good pool of talent to draw from. I'm not surprised that producers have yet to promote someone outside the black/white skin tone. They are so pegged for marketing. Surely you'd have trouble selling an album to white America by a gay hispanic man or a wierdly tanned short lady.
Just my opinion. I think they wanted a black woman with pipes to win. The only black woman they've had win is Fantasia and she hasn't sold well at all compared to anytone else including Clay Aiken, Catherine McPhee and Chris (Daw-tree). They got all the white they needed out of season 5. Time to sell some records to the non-whites. | |

After that i will walk down the middle of the 401 and dodge cars running from side to side .Once i reach home again i will then have to pour bleach on my wounds so i can howl like the people on the show .Follow that up with a chaser of rat poisen and battery acid just so i can feel like everyone else that might be watching the show .........uh huh | |
