I didnt see it as bragging but stating that she was a other wise intelligent girl with a great personality who questoned why men choose thin girls-and I take issue with her in that thin always = "ditzy" which implies less than intelligent.....over girls who were avg but not thin.
I repect women /men who take the time and effort to improve thier appearance by working out, but it can be over- emphasized in my opinion. | |

I read an interesting book about what men and women want. One of the points they brought up is that as a woman raises her status, her selection declines because women generally do not date down. The women would then reason this as the man's fault for one reason or another. Most of the men interviewed in the book said that social status didn't really matter to them in selecting a mate.
I think there's a lot to the above. Yes, it's a generalization but it's generally true. I've seen other studies that point out that generally speaking, women will also look for a guy who makes more money than she does no matter how much she makes.
As for thin and ditzy... well, generally, men will choose a thinnish woman over a fat one based solely on looks..... but, I don't think generally speaking thin women are ditzy. I'm met some really ditzy, even stupid fat women too..... | |

Now I don't remember where I read it, or who "they" were.
I just know when I read it I shared it with my ex, who believed a weight problem was a personality disorder. His response was suitable for him.. Well of course they are happy.. they're too fat to fight. Stupid guy!!
Anyways, as for intelligence..let's just say I have a very high IQ and a weight problem and so far let's be completely frank, men who say they want intelligent conversation really mean they want meaningful conversations with thin women. Haven't met one man yet who really desires intelligence over a small butt. | |

I made a choice a few years ago between an intelligent average sort of size girl that was stunning and really thin dumb girl that actually wasn’t so pretty but was more sexy to me.
I chose the ultra thin girl then as I wanted some good sex but a few years on know I made the wrong choice.

I don't think I've ever met a guy that thought Paris Hilton was attractive. She's bone-thin, has a face like a man, and the IQ of a potted plant. A dumb potted plant.

All the hot guys that I get crushes on seem to sidestep me on the way to a thinner girl. I don't have ANY INTEREST in becoming thinner myself, so I think I'll just bag on those thinner girls.
Men *AND* women often choose physical beauty over any other attribute. There are plenty of "HOT" guys out there with great abs, strong jaws and a nice tan that are dumb as planks and *ssholes to boot. And women throw themselves at those guys like rice at a wedding, and then when that guy gets bored with them, those same women go and cry to their "best male friend" who is a really sweet, loving, caring, intelligent guy that happens to be a bit overweight.
(BTW - your best friend probably is DEEPLY in love with you, which is the only reason he puts up with your drama.)
IT GOES BOTH WAYS.
OP - I GUARANTEE that there are PLENTY of guys out there who would be willing to give you a chance. Their abs and arms might not look as nice as those guys YOU like, though. And they might not drive cars as cool as those guys YOU like.

another big girl telling us that only thin girls are brainless and have no personality....only big girls are smart and have personality....
rather than having an average girl like me with good looks, GREAT personality, can hold a intelligent conversation.
and yes, from the looks of the post you complain and **** and nag men everyday with teh question of "am i fat" 900 times a day....
why are men like this?
cause we stay away from big girls like you who complain and whine about thin girls bieng this and that.....two options for you op
1. lose weight

My intelligence has remained the same through out. I went through a depressive episode in my late teens and became horrifically overweight. There is no one else to blame for this other than myself.
Ive improved the way I look and the way I see myself now and feel much better about things. If there is a type of man that prefers thin ladies to bigger ladies then thats fine. Some ladies like bald muscley men... whats the difference?
Jealousy is never an attractive trait in someone. Intelligence should be for your own benefit, not to help you capture the attention of someone else. No one can see intelligence, so if the packaging isnt enough to lure someone in from the start then maybe your doing something wrong? Or maybe your just trying to attract the wrong kind of gentleman...? either way.. If everyone like the same thing where would we be? | |
