| What do you attract? Posted: 10/13/2005 7:25:33 AM | | Unfortunately I receive the most contact from older married or separated men. I also have a fair number of never married and no children messages. With having children of my own a man with children of similar age is most desirable to me. I want that family unit and partnership with that special someone. | |

| What do you attract? Posted: 10/13/2005 10:15:57 AM | I believe that the kind of people we attract depends mainly on what we are able to deal with at a particular moment in time.
There may be a really great woman or man longing to have our attention that we totally ignore because we are trying to overcome a heartbreaking split. We don't even notice them most times or if we do we are incapable of appreciating what that person may have to offer. A friend of mine recently told me that in matters of the heart timing is everything, and I've come to see just how true that is.
How many of us have suffered through a heart wrenching break-up where we just KNEW that the relationship had SO MUCH going for it....if only the other person could just see it. These are especially hard to deal with because there is a lot of ground for a great relationship, but the timing isn't there.

| What do you attract? Posted: 10/13/2005 11:11:23 AM | I feel your pain paleone
Believe me, we've all been there, I know that doesn't help much for someone going through it right now, but hang in there it WILL pass. Just try to maintain your self-respect and dignity. If there's any chance for you two down the road it depends on how you both handle this.
Do what I do, keep yourself busy so you don't have time to dwell on it. Clean your house from top to bottom or hang out with your girlfriends till some time passes. Then you can look at this without a heavy heart.

Paleone....
....I also feel Your Pain...and Yes it sucks....Sometimes You wish So bad For something, that can be So beautiful to Work....But some People are Just not ready.. Up until a few Days ago I felt the very same, as what You are Going through..Until I searched and waited for a revelation to come to as to why This Person could not let me love them and Why it could not work...For me it is the "Not Knowing Why"..it could not work that is Hell. Since this Time I have learned that part of My lesson is to Let Go...and what a wonderful feeling it is.....
I truly use to Joke about but ,But now I'm beginning to learn what it really means... "I You Love someone let them Go".some of life's lessons come really hard....At the end of the Day all You can do is wish You're Friend well, and move On.......Peace DragonRed...

I do keep my self busy. Visiting with friends, running errands, going to the gym! He and I will continue to be friends, cant throw away the last 14 years. But I have asked him to leave me alone for a while so I can deal with my hurt. I dont want to ruin our friendship... Id rather have him as just a friend, then not have him in my life at all.

*MUCH older or MUCH younger men...when I prefer a similar or little older.

*Guys looking for an independent woman (or so he thinks) and then freaks out on the same independence!
When what I really like is: intellect, biker life-style, ambition, emotional capacity, no hypocrisy, views women as equal, a good mix of old fashioned and modern milt! OH!! I have him! ;)

| What do you attract? Posted: 10/13/2005 3:31:17 PM | | Women that have not figured out what they want. Hey, you know what, get your head straight, figure out where you are in life and what you really want out of it, then post an add. Don't post an add advertising something that is the opposite of what you really want. Just wasting the time of whomever reads and responds to your add. | |
