OT: not looking at profiles so I can't complain or whine about turn-offs. Me neither. But I might start again, so this is a good refresher, lol

| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/17/2007 6:51:16 PM | | I think it is so funny when the eight pictures are all taken about a minute after each other with different facial expressions. | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/17/2007 7:19:22 PM | I agree with scorpio, nothing annoys me more than someone who Im's you and then doesn't say anything | |

I used to laugh at those...clicking from one to the other and the background never changes.
However, I am now guilty of that with my second to fourth pictures.
OT: I am not alone when I state that the "prefer not to say" choice is prevalent.

No, you're not. You mean I'm probably not the only one that takes that response as "yes" ?? Except, it's like they think they shouldn't say yes? LOL
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/17/2007 8:10:59 PM | I get totally annoyed at getting IM when I have never received a message from this person before.
What makes you think I will IM you when I have no clue who you are....? Send a message first, tell me a bit about yourself, allow me to check out your profile, then next time I see you, I might even IM you......
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/17/2007 8:52:50 PM | | ^^ That's right. That's why I have it in my settings to only receive IM from my favorites. | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/17/2007 8:55:15 PM | ~Princess Fiona~,
What's the harm? I've had women IM me without knowing who they were. If you don't like the chat they offer you say goodbye and close the window.
110%
PS: Dat der's a purdy hat m'am!
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/17/2007 9:04:37 PM | You are right, there is no harm but I would have to say that I am with Princess Fiona on this one. Why not send a message first? Just seems like the right thing to do.
I didn't know you could set it to IM's only from your favourites...I might have to do that.
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/17/2007 11:01:07 PM | | whats wrong with having pictures of myself with other girls around me partying...I personally don't put them up cuz I dont want to put my friends faces online, but what's the big deal...they are just friends...not like they are wedding day photos lol | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/18/2007 5:30:01 AM | | The biggest turnoff is women that show their cleavage on their profile photo. There is a rule of no nudity in photos, but I have seen some images that were pretty close. I don't respect women that have to show their boobs on a public site in order to pick up a man. I even deleted a woman from my MSN a while ago because her photo kept showing her boobs. I don't know who she was chatting with, but he probably got pretty excited. I didn't like it, so I blocked/deleted her. | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/18/2007 6:53:38 AM | | K I had to post this one - came accross someone's profile, and not sure if it was a joke or not, but the guy was wearing (let me try to say without pointing the finger at the guy) an outfit of the religious persuasion - very bizarre. | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/18/2007 8:10:31 AM | How about when a guy overuse's endearments to the point of making you ill? Ladies you know the type! Every 2nd word is honey, baby, sweetie, gorgeous, beautiful, muffin, cupcake etc etc If it's someone I know then its different but please...I'm not your baby on the first or 5th convo! | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/18/2007 9:01:11 AM | People who very obviously have not read your profile and mail and message you with the most ridiculous and ludacrious proposals. And when you block them they still find a way to harass you. | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/18/2007 9:27:40 AM | Receiving an IM asking me if like anal sex-------or if i am horny!
IDIOTS | |
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/22/2007 12:19:22 PM | | well you could have at least replied to my email crazeegyrl, you didn't have to be so rude :( | |

I hate it when ppl's profiles have pictures of multiple ppl...and NOWHERE is it listed which one is them!!!
I agree totally… annoying…
I think it is so funny when the eight pictures are all taken about a minute after each other with different facial expressions.
I agree...
OT: I am not alone when I state that the "prefer not to say" choice is prevalent.
This is my personal biggest pet peeve…. Especially when it relate to this question “Do you have children?” and you have multiple picture with different children or even just one picture with a child in your profile, granted your trying to show your softer side and that you like Children but if you answer “no” or “prefer not to say”… at least explain who they are… other wise I assume they are yours… (Yes I know what assuming does… makes an ass out of u and me!)
I also dislike when I am added to a favourites’ list without even getting so much as an email or an instant message tosay hi… how hard really is that?.
|
| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/22/2007 6:46:25 PM | Excessive use of emoticons and those who feel the need to tell you a story with them...
I I have been for a cute like you forever would you like to go for or with me?
I would be very if you said yes but if you say no I may have to
How does one reply to that?
Thank you, but the thought of spending time with you makes me want to my toilet? Or seek
|

Just dont post a pic,,,, or pick one of the many fantasy type pics out there (carefull of copyright) that describes your personality or similar. I had specifically asked a women about her pic knowing full well it wasnt her,,,she said it was and agreed to meet,,,LMAO,,,not even close and to think she thinks she can pull this off????. A short time ago there were 3 women using the same pic on this site??? and Im sure the men do it to. I dont mind the dog pics, activity pics etc,,,shows your personality I think,,,dont care for the cleavage, butt, lingerie shots,,,there for all thee wrong reasons I think.

| Online Turnoffs?? Posted: 1/23/2007 7:54:51 PM | My biggest turn off is people who steal your photos and/or parts of your profile. If you can't even describe yourself and what you're looking for then you have BIG problems. Ditto for passing yourself off as someone else.
Second would be the guy who's a wannabe gangsta and he lives in some place like Winnipeg for Pete's sake.

One of mine is the profile of the guy who shows their chest, tattoo and their dog but not their face...what is up with that????
Personally I think it's cute when a guy shows their doggy in A pic, not ALL the pics. I think it shows he has a sensitive side . . . course, if he shows said dog on a princess bed wearing a tiara and a jewel encrusted collar, and he "woof woofs" in his description . . . ? That's more than sensitive . . . that's just creepy.
I don't like chest or bicep pictures, but perhaps that makes me old fashioned. I'm not attracted to your bulging pectorals, but more (hopefully) to your intelligent mind brimming with thoughts, ideas, and conversation. I do like to see a picture of the face, but only to give my mind an image of who I'm talking to.
Like another poster said . . . lack of punctuation, grammer, and paragraphs annoy the hell out of me. As does sentances like this: "whut up gurl? i c ur pic an u 2 hot 4 wurds. holla bck" Seriously. That makes my skin crawl. My four year old writes and speaks better.
I find profiles speak volumes about people, hence why they're there. Take Jolie's profile for example - that girl has got some serious humor and wit!! Guy's with profiles that are funny, witty, and unique always catch my eye.
That said . . . I'm not looking. I just check people out in the forums I peruse through to see what they're all about.
*hugs* Heather
