| Scotland in May Posted: 3/19/2009 6:53:39 PM | Go to the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. Go to the Orkney's. Stay longer than 2 days in Edinburgh, you won't regret it. I highly recommend going on a walking tour of some kind, especially the Ghosts and Ghouls ones, very entertaining. Take a look around the Castle too. Definitely go to Dropkick Murphy's, it's a bar near Cow Gate, the Snakebites are delicious.
Don't expect to wear shorts ever really, I went in June and wore pants and a sweater the whole time.

| Scotland in May Posted: 3/29/2009 2:15:16 AM | I would definately go to Glasgow and Stirling like other people have suggested.
There is so much to see in Glasgow. I went to the Botanic Gardens which is absolutely beautiful!! It's a freebie and a bus goes straight past it.
*There is another place just on the outskirts of Glasgow called Auctentoshen Distillary. Best distillary I've been to and it so much better than the one I went to in Dublin. You can get a train from Glasgow to Dalmuir and there is a bus that takes 10 minutes and drops you off there.
*Kelvingrove Park. Weather was great last May when I went up and the park was lovely they. There is a gallery right by it which is definately worth a visit.
*Glasgow Scool of Art is worth a see as it has fantastic architecture by Charles Rennie MacIntosh. There is a room with furniture and there's a library etc..
If you need anymore places to visit just ask. There are many more things to see.

| Scotland in May Posted: 10/6/2009 2:21:30 PM | | I love Scotland. It's kind of like stepping back in time. They have so much history there. Weather is a treat though about 10 months out of the year. My aunt lives in Irvine, Ayshire and I have a cousin in Troon. Edinburgh and St. Andrews are both places worth visiting. Just driving along the countryside and the highlands is nice. Try and go see the highland games. (I know it is late for this visitor but Im trying to help the next person.) | |

| Scotland in May Posted: 10/11/2009 10:16:26 PM | Why don't they remove posts like this? She asked this question 2 years ago. Where are those pesky moderators when you need them. | |
|
| Scotland in May Posted: 10/12/2009 7:25:10 PM | They don't remove it because they want everyone to post to the old thread instead of a new one. If a person were to try to start a new thread they would delete that. I know this because I tried, and it was deleted within an hour. | |

| Scotland in May Posted: 10/30/2009 10:36:04 AM | Why not wait until June Why?
O, my luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June. O, my luve's like the melodie, That's sweetly play'd in tune. 2. As fair art thou, my bonie lass, So deep in luve am I, And I will luve thee still, my Dear, Till a' the seas gang dry. 3. Till a' the seas gang dry, my Dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun! O I will luve thee still, my Dear, While the sands o' life shall run. 4. And fare thee weel, my only Luve, And fare thee weel a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' it were ten thousand mile! Rabbie Burns
Go and visit Ayr and Girvan in June instead
