| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/19/2007 11:44:46 AM | Price isn't the point, how it sits on you is
No offence intended Dante...but that's easy for you to say being single with no kids!! I rarely pay more than $30.00 for a bottle of perfume. Any expensive ones I have were gifts.
JJ

Wow I'm on top....I forgot what that felt like!!!

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/19/2007 12:49:52 PM | lol jj,
actually what I meant by that was it doesn't matter if you pay a lot or very little for a scent so long as it sits well on you and smells nice on you. There are some really nice colognes and perfumes that are not very expensive. That's all I meant.

Tenth, be considerate to your fellow co workers and dont' wear cologne to work
disagree with ya on that one ....the other day I wore some perfume, a new one actually and about 5 people said oh my "who smells good today"
I do try not to overdo it.............a little spray here and a little spray there......
as they say
A DAB'LL DO YA! | |

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/19/2007 1:29:03 PM | Ah, Gotchya Dante!! Those are the ones I buy! I got one a little while ago during an introductory special....keep your eye open for those!!! It's the twice what I paid now.
And like others have mentioned here, even some of the expensive ones smell like skunk on certain people!!

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/19/2007 8:24:26 PM | if i can find you with my eyes closed.. you are wearing too much. to many people use perfume/cologne as a mask of their natural scent..
if you don't like your natural scent..
change what you eat have a shower. drink more water.. (not water based liquids like tea or coffee.. they are both high in acids..which reacct and change your bodies scent)
Your body should smell like a fresh breeze... a cool fresh breeze..
a properly looked after person won't need a scent.

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/19/2007 9:44:40 PM | | As far as using the right amount of cologne; I found you can't go wrong if before you dress, put one spray into the air and quickly walk through the mist. That way you can be assured that the scent will be subtle. | |

What is killing me now is all those kids doused in AXE cause they figure it'll get them laid like the adverts claim, you can smell them before you see them and that crap reeks to begin with
I totally agree... I'm in school and they clog the hallways with it.
You can see the women leaping AWAY from them!

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/20/2007 7:53:52 AM | I most definitely love a good smelling person, but I do agree that too much is a turn off!! Nothing worse that smelling the artificial person and not the real thing!! Nothing like the scent of a real man - pheromones not BO!!! | |

Personally I like the smell of Mr. B

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/22/2007 2:10:10 PM | Personally, I wear a light vanilla body spray. you can't notice it, unless you're REALLY close to me. I'm very concious of strong perfumy odors, because I work with someone who has severe sent alergies. My body spray is actually too strong to wear around her.
I have a roommate, who thinks putting on cologne means bathing in it. He puts so much on, that I was able to smell it about 15' from the outside of the house in when the window was open in the summer. When he leaves a room, the smell will linger for at least an hour. He thinks he smells good, but it makes the rest of us nautious. I refuse to have him in my car, because of this.
Less is definately more whe it comes to colognes & perfumes.
I want the person I'm withto smell good, but not have the smell so strong that you dread being in the same room with them.

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/22/2007 9:02:22 PM | | While Dante always smells scrumpdialicious, we always smell him at his smelliest best. But, the rule of perfume or eau de cologne is, if you are going to wear anything worthwhile, ladies must always spray their ankles. The fine scent rises, therefore will always linger around the upper body. So spray your anlkes quickly and a very quick one around your mid body, your arms and upper body will catch the scent soon, and then a very minimal spray around your shoulders. If you are wearing cheap perfume..throw it out and just wear deodarant. | |

How to tell if you're wearing too much scent....If any animal walks by you and its eyes start to water and its walking gets wobbly as it tries to run away...you're wearing too much. Alternatively...If a skunk tries to mate with you leg...you know you're wearing too much.

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/23/2007 7:28:32 PM | I would still think that's too much, Miss Trouble. (Mind you, it's not my method.) I think it depends on the scent. Some scents are horrifically strong. Have you ever smelled Obsession, or Elixir by Clinique? Holy crap.
I do agree with those who do the 'walk through the spray' method. Or, spray it on your belly, and dab your wrists in it very quickly, then dab your neck/chest. Should be sufficient, but that's just me.

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/23/2007 7:39:19 PM | migraines - I hate them all. Ladies please, give us a break. Some women are like a walking toxic cloud of eye watering stench so pungent they could strip paint. These are usually the types that will moan about smokers. | |

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 1/24/2007 9:51:58 AM | I tend to use a very small spray of a light/subtle cologne... and keep it well below my neck.
Funny story: One day at work, a one of the sales ladies walked by the kitchen and asked "who's wearing Obsession?"
Another sales lady in the kitchen piped up and said "Calvin Klein? Oh, that's me. I'm trying to use it up"
The boss said loudly from his office "You're not supposed to use the whole bottle at once!"
I nearly fell over trying to keep from laughing too much.

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 2/26/2007 2:38:12 PM | | I couldn't agree with you more. Too much of a good thing doesn't always work in your favor. I prefer smelling a ladies perfume when I lean in to talk to her in a noisey place or when slow dancing. It just makes the experience that much more intriguing. So stick with what your doing. | |

| Perfumes and Colognes- How Much is Too Much? Posted: 2/26/2007 2:44:27 PM | I'd rather put my nose against clean, soap-and-water skin, actually
Absolutely!! A girl after my own heart!!!
As far as it goes with me,,, the subtleties in most areas of life are the most intriguing and pleasing I might add!! Who needs a baseball bat behind the left ear, or nostril, to let you know that someone has come into the room!!
