There was this cute boy in LA (most of my stories start out this way) and he asked me how many lovers I'd had. So I lied and said '13'. He was horrified. Called me a slut etc. So I laughed, and told him the truth! Uh. We don't talk anymore!! 
As long as the 'slut' is of sound mind, and enjoys him/herself .. AND IS SAFE! Which brings to mind, I LOVE Durex condoms. | |

Although I respect her as a person and we could be lovers and friends, I could not take her home to mother. That's only because, in my younger days, I was extremely promiscuous, more than 100 partners over the years. Like it or not, it's different for women.
Now if the "two more" were, say, 15 to 20 partners for a 30-something woman, that's okay. You're still a lady. | |

In todays day and age sexual freedom is not just for men. Its absurd to think that the person you're with hasn't been with at least the same number of partners as you.

Personally, I tend to steer clear of men who have had alot of sexual partners. I think it's important that they have some experience, but more so based on lengthier relationships, not how many multiples they've slept with. I mean, with each successive partner, you're increasing your chances for disease and that applies to either female or male. | |

Unless of course you get them tested, prior to going to bed with them, and how many do that. Even then, you don't know, because it might not show up for 6 months or longer. Now, if you know the person was in a long term relationship and neither strayed, the odds of them giving you something has slimmed.  Of course, that's just my opinion.  | |

I was simply curious to know how the male perspective of this issue has changed over the years. It's nice to see that the majority (that have answered here, anyway) consider it to be a NON-issue. Some are still in the dark ages, but that's to be expected... enlightenment takes knowledge, experience, and maturity, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion through out that process.
