As for those other countries fearing and loathing us, that's fine with me, as long as they no longer fly airplanes in to our buildings and quit murdering our people! Do you have some notion that the U.S. started this war?! Ever hear of 9/11? The World Trade Center? The Pentagon? Hello!? Anybody home?!

It's hard using diplomacy when you are dealing with leaders that say yes to your face and when you turn your back they do the opposite of what they said they would do.

A woman that is a European Socialist, that has nothing to live for other than the accumulation of power, and cares nothing for those that don't have it. A person that is willing to stay married to the most corrupt person to ever inhabit the White House, even as he was making an absolute fool of her with a person not much older than her child. I am a liberal, a democrat, and a veteral of 23 years of government and military service. But as far as I'm concerned, both of the Clintons should be tried for treason.
As a former Officer in the United States Navy, I learned that there's nothing more dangerous to others, than a person that wants position for "power and authority." Actually, leadership is serving those that are being led. Leadership is *not* lording power and authority over those you lead.
Then there's Barack. After September 11th, after losing a few thousand Americans in Iraq, remembering the Iranian hostage situation, after the problems with the Dubai management of American Seaports, after just having hung another man with the name Hussein, after seven years of knowing that much of the Muslim world wants us dead, what kind of idiots are we for even *thinking* about electing this guy no matter how charasmatic, nice looking, or intelligent he is?? It make's me sick to think about it.
Those things being said, I know I'm gonna be blasted so before you call me a right wing nut, consider my song...

you very welll may be correct in your statement, HOWEVER, Hillary is NOT the right choice at this time for president. Neither is Barack.
Hillary, for the obvious reasons already mentioned. I personally do not trust her. She is too busy wanting to pick my pockets in order to give my money away to someone else. I need my money for MY children, not "hers".
Barack-- simply because he is untested and has not been able to present a viable plan to move this country forward. His ideas are merely recycled from the past and the main focus seems to be on getting out of Iraq by March 1 2009. If that's all he brings to the table, then we definitely would have a tough row to hoe for the remainder of his term.
And heaven forbid we have to choose between John McCain or one of the other Republican rejects from past primaries.
I don't care if Democratic or Republican, as long as the fundamentals of good governorship and common sense are there, and they don't say one thing and do the opposite.
Has ANY potential candidate addressed ANYTHING other than the war situation? Pay attention, people-- the war is nothing but smoke and mirrors for most of the candidates to get them into office. Once there, they will do whatever they want, when they want and damn the voters that got them there.

Posted: 2/15/2007 9:13:37 PM | Well, I'm not a big fan of the political parties in general, I think its a crying shame to vote for someone based on their political affiliation alone, are people really that brainwashed that they mindlessly ignore the candidates stance on key issues and just vote for "their party"? But I do tend to lean more to the left and see myself as more democratic minded in a lot of areas...so that being true I don't think either one would be beneficial to get the nod from the democratic party as President, I feel Edwards gives Democrats the best shot at winning this election, but I think that Barack would make an excellent Vice President, and I hope that he does fill that role...I have to agree with EpisodeIV in saying that Baracks' lack of political experience is not only a high point, but in my eye a great foundation to platform his campaign...HE IS NOT A CAREER POLITICIAN....THATS WHAT AMERICA NEEDS!!!! He has not had all the years to sit in office on his laurels,do much about nothing, become complacent and have his views and ideas compromised and corrupted. We truly need someone that is going to speak for "we the people" and not "talk the talk, without walking the walk". If Barack is selected as a Vice President "running mate" to Edwards in this election...Watch out world, you read it here first, we will have our first black president 4-8 years later, in elections to come.
