The “collector”!
Yikes, I immediately thought of that old movie "The Collector" where the creepy butterfly collector guy collected women and kept them in his basement.
Shivers running up my spine!
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/21/2007 8:09:55 PM | The basement would need to be larger, and I'd need more and bigger jars. And a whole LOT of formalin :S
My hobbies are expensive to begin with, I don't think I'll be adding this one.

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/21/2007 8:18:38 PM | if they were ignorant meaning - towards my family, or friends... and if they showed that they were not as grown up as I thought they were - meaning high school issues (which is pathetic, and have dated guys who for some stupid reason they are back in a high school mentality - but hid it from me, but i found out damn quick - and I guess its not just guys that do it - heard from some male friends on here - the chicks are just as bad!) | |

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/21/2007 8:26:36 PM | I have a friend who is repulsed by the second toe on the foot. The second toe could not be longer than the first, for him: deal breaker.

I have a friend who is repulsed by the second toe on the foot. The second toe could not be longer than the first, for him: deal breaker. OMG, me too! I heard somewhere, that constitutes about 90% of the popolation. No wonder I'm alone

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/21/2007 9:01:21 PM | Deal breakers:
Not tipping a good waitress Belittling restaurant/store staff Giving me advice on what I should do with my life Complaining non stop about last girlfriend (I agree with the others) Bringing their Mother to the date Finding out they were very involved with one of my friends BEING BROKE - I just refuse to support anyone.

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/21/2007 10:19:17 PM | AB Weezy Being broke NO SHITE! LOL Went through that - while I was dating a couple of musicians - not going through that again. I don't mean I am looking for a guy who makes shite loads of money (dated one of those as well - was as boring as watching paint dry - and a huge mommies boy), I am saying that the guy has to be in a secure position in his life, including job.
Forgot to add conspiracy nuts. Okay - I have a few ones myself LOL - but these guys that go on and on - enough already! Someone set me up with a guy (only blind date I ever had) - that said 911 was false, that it wasn't the taliban, that it was the usa that blew up their own buildings - we got into an arguement - I threw the money for coffee on the table and took a cab home.
Spaceman... its too bad we can't bring a psychopathy test with us on dates, but that would kill the mood

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/21/2007 11:06:34 PM | | When people spew the "f" word as the filler in every one of their sentences .... instead of hmmm or ummm, or even "like" (which is another one of pet peeves) it is "fking" that or "f" that ... | |
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/22/2007 5:26:25 AM | Yes! That's a good one. Swearing is such a turn-off.
I knew there had to be something else, besides the toe thing.

|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/22/2007 6:21:43 AM | what's wrong with swearing? maybe you're just too f**king picky!!!
women who flirt with other guys when you're out on a date....SEE YA.
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/22/2007 6:30:58 AM | Msg 30: hahaha, totally reminds me of the movie Shallow Hal because Jason Alexander's character wouldn't get serious with a girl because her 2nd toe is longer than the rest.. great movie btw.
I'd say my major deal breakers are pretty much the same as the rest of the posters.. Although I think after a couple dates, if the girl doesn't even make an offer to pay for half the bill, then that'd be another deal breaker..

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/22/2007 10:10:51 AM | A man dressed in jeans and wearing white runner..... for some reason have always been the ultimate turn off for me.... Oh and really bad teeth....
Runners are for running, dress shoes, boots, sandals, crew shoes, anything but runners please...

|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/22/2007 10:21:15 AM | Bad teeth forsure! Also bad eating manners - it is NEVER ok to chew with your mouth open or suck loudly on your fingers. I don't care who you are!!! | |

A man dressed in jeans and wearing white runner...
Dang, guess that takes me off the prospective list!!
A deal breaker for me would not being forthright and honest of how one would approach the reality of whether or not they had indicated they are who they say they are (i.e using a picture of someone other than themselves, or having all pictures with someone else in them and not identifying whom they are.)
But on the other hand, since this problem has not as yet been presented to me, I can only indicate that which I "think" might be a problem, when in reality, until such person is met, we can only conjur up a tentative list based on previous experience, since I have no experience I truly would have no criteria for dating deal-breakers.

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/22/2007 11:01:47 AM | | Playing really hard to get. A little chase is fine, but at least show interest. In September I met a girl and we hung out a few times, then she started having excuses not to. After a couple weeks of that, I just stopped pursuing her. About a month later one of her friends asked me why I stopped if I was interested in her, since she had been interested in me. I told her that because of all her excuses I figured she wasn't interested and I should just move on. By that point I had met someone else and was dating her. So if you're interested in a guy, especially me, let the guy know so that he understands that pursuing you is worth his time. | |
