| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/29/2007 12:19:28 AM | Probably everything I will mention has already been said, but I wasn't about to read all four pages of postings. One that did get a nod from me...
Insincerity.... excessively complimenting and fawning, agreeing with everything I say, agreeing that they like everything that I like...sounds soooo phoney. Lola Honey
My own deal breakers that aren't really obscure...
1. Excessive negativity, judgemental attitude and low self esteem - I am not here to bring you out of your cave and I don't want to join you... 2. Pot belly - There may be some concern about his health if he looks like he is 6 months pregnant... If actively working on it (excercise/diet), then that is not a dating deal-breaker. 3. Chronic Halitosis - gawd damn! Take that mouth to a hygenist, they are paid to smell that! 4. Chronic Unemployment - Unless you are on early retirement, won LOTTO 649 or you inherited some family wealth, being employed is necessary for survival in 2007.
This is only my perspective on this topic, put out in an honest way... however shallow it might seem to others... Some of it is from hard experience.

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/29/2007 12:31:25 AM | | Oh another one I forgot about: When we're out somewhere or what not and the gal pays money to purchase water (i.e.: bottled water). I usually like to ask "Oh you buy bottled water. Any particular reason why?" and have a good chuckle to myself for the rational. The usual response is "Uh....(puzzled look)...I like the taste". | |
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/29/2007 12:33:44 AM | ^^^
Like seriously, what is it with the buying bottled water? Seems every woman i know do that?
Yet i dont know many guys who do....what gives?
Is it a genetic condition of the female species?
On topic....lack of ambition and dreams....i want someone who has goals....that's a biggie for me. Her goal dont have to be grandiose and extreme but goals of some kind.
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/29/2007 12:36:29 AM | Ha Ha....you very well could be right about that.
Off topic: I saw Blood Diamond last night and I enjoyed it immensely as well. Very good flick.
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/29/2007 5:32:07 PM | | I buy bottled water because I usually don't carry a cup around in my purse. But I do try to save the bottle after so I can just fill them with tap water. | |

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/29/2007 7:08:54 PM | Women who wear poor quality footwear, have a lumpy mattress, excessive baby talk, pose arguments for no reason, or have a laugh like a hurt animal. Thats when i run like hell. | |

im glad i collected hockey cards when i was younger, becouse i dug them out last year and realized i have 8 gretzky rookie cards, along with numerous other rookie cards
but the cell phone, or when a woman lites up a crack pipe and the "i was in jail for 3 months for spousal abuse" thats the deal breaker for me
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/29/2007 8:57:17 PM | Like seriously, what is it with the buying bottled water? Seems every woman i know do that? it just tastes way better, and calgary flouridates their water which is actually pretty bad for you. i have a water bottle from mec that i fill at the cooler.
Yet i dont know many guys who do....what gives? most guys can barely keep track of their wallets, let alone a bottle of water (i include myself in this as i actually lost my wallet over the new year)
***edit*** oh right, deal breakers:
- excessive materialism and narcissism - conservative viewpoint - not understanding sarcasm or satire - excessive mouth breathing

| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/30/2007 7:08:43 AM | ^^^ thats one of those lines girls think is cute, when they say it... but if a guy says it he's kicked to the curb.
Another deal breaker is a girl who shows up wearing a blue tooth thingy in her ear.
Beat it. | |

|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/30/2007 5:17:40 PM | | Given all the criteria...few dates, all seem to go well so a 'comfort' level has been relatively established...none of the 'obvious' reasons are mentioned..but something that may not be a big issue to most, but for me is non-negotiable? hehehe...well....I haven't had kids yet and havent totally given up on the idea. I am 'cut'...and if I had a son, so would he have to be...For me, this is a non-negotiable isssue...and I haven't put up withit to this point. | |
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/30/2007 5:24:27 PM | ^^^have you SEEN how the doctor does that to a newborn?
OT: I'd have to go with....someone who sends my "creep radar" off the chart, for whatever reason.
|
| obscure dating deal-breakers Posted: 1/30/2007 5:37:11 PM | | ...^^^have you seen how a doctor does that to a fully grown man? I'll bet the little baby makes less noise than the full grown man...basically, the baby is given half a feeding, is cut, comes back screaming...given the other half of the feeding...and all is normal again. $200 at birth and not remembering the proceedure is far better than $2000 later in life...and never forgetting the pain and living thru the 8 week 'healing' period to boot. I don't remember having it done...and am most certainly glad that it was... | |
