Anyway, never did the lapdance thing, never thought it was worth it. Think about it, you just paid to get a boner. You can do that for free anytime and anyday of the week (just be careful at work, not to professional). To top it off, 9 times out of 10 you're not gonna hit that at the end of the night. | |

Plenty of fraternity guys going to the strip bars in West Wirginia, and some Virginia Tech girls work there. Some girls don't do "extras" at all, others are basically prostitutes.
Some strip bars are pretty tame, others are basically just whorehouses, where anything goes in the private areas. Most are somewhere in between. | |

I live in southern Ontario and I was always under the impression there were rules and nothing 'too far' could occur - guess I will be asking the people around here what they know about this topic!!! I would not want my man going for a 'lap dance' that's for sure!!
I used to live near a few strip clubs so they were kind of our hangout... got bored with them by the time I was about 20-22 years old...
There are rules, but lap dances are lot wilder now than even back 10-15 years...
Generally the girl can touch the guy but not the reverse...
Generally, it costs more than it's worth... and I really despise silicone boobs...

A 4.5 hour trip ended up taking 11 hours as we stopped at every little $hithole along the way to do some drinking and play some pool. We DID draw straws, and had a sober driver.
Anyway, we rolled into town around 10pm, and someone said we should go to the stripper bar. We went, and I watched for a bit, then I looked around and said to the other guys.
Ok look around, there are a bunch of nerdy kids over there, and this is as close as they will ever get to a naked woman. On that side, is a bunch of old men, who will never get this close to a naked woman like this again. I'm neither of those, so I'll see you later.
Playing in bands in the late 80's - 90's you got to meet the strippers at whatever hotel you were at. Oh wait, they are dancers, not strippers, not peelers. The band room and dancer rooms are usually close together, and both above the bar, since both are usually in the bar til closing, and you don't get people in the rooms above the noisy bar.
We would get to know them, there was always some drugs around, a lot of them hated men. Some were really high on themselves, and others were ok to chill with. I could never be bothered with a lap dance or watching some stranger "strip" for me. | |

They can be. Depending on the place, and if you can sort of get to know a dancer or two while chatting with them at the bar, they can be worthwhile.
There are usually rules about no touching of the dancers, but it has been my experience that a woman during a private lap dance will put her butt on your lap or bounce a breast on your face from time to time. For your own sake and out of respect for the dancer, don't touch back. Just keep your hands to your side.
A lap dance is just a great way to get a close-up view of a woman you find attractive.
the strip clubs that I've been to have an area for private lapdances... Is that an area where other things may happen or is it just so other patrons can't get a free close-up look while you get your paid dance?
Mostly, the private area is so that people can't get all up in your business and that's it. Honestly, nothing typically happens in the private area that would be deemed illegal (e.g., you won't be seeing the vagina or the anus, or she won't be reaching for your penis). The private area is mostly so that you can enjoy the close-up show without feeling like you're being watched by the other patrons.
I haven't been to a strip club in a number of years, and when I did, lap dances were only a once-in-a-while sort of thing. If you haven't ever tried one, I strongly suggest you do, at least once.

The entire experience is too contrived; and, yes, while there are women who are Phi Beta Kapa, doing this to "work their way through law school", that is, far and away, the EXCEPTION, and NOT the rule. These places vary with degree of sleaze and illegality; but ALL of these places WILL have dancers with drug/alcohol issues; and in ALL of these places it is possible to find a dancer who is willing to do more than dance; and in SOME of these places, rules/laws or not, most, if not all, of the dancers will have drug/alcohol issues; AND "extra" activities are EXPECTED, and sanctioned through the club! I have personally been in one where a dancer asked me if I wanted to, "buy her a drink." Well, guess what, "drinks" cost $50, $100, and $150 dollars! and, yes sports fans, drinks WERE served in a PRIVATE area, and absolutely DID include extraneous activity. This WAS NOT a "rogue" stripper striking out on her own to make a buck or two on the side; this was activity SANCTIONED AND PROMOTED BY THE CLUB AND IT'S OWNERS!!! and this IS NOT isolated activity; and ABSOLUTELY occurs even in the "higher end", "above board" types of establishments. I personally know guys who have gotten hand jobs, blow jobs, and laid, in these clubs; and I'm talking about different guys, in different bars, in different states. So, for the one poster concerned about her boyfriend, your trust should be placed in HIM, and NOT the bar. While he is probably just out for, "a night with the guys", if he is looking for "something else" it is certainly possible to get it in ANY of these establishments; in which case, you don't want him for a boyfriend anyway. As far as the clubs with the "private dance areas" are concerned; you can take it to the bank that "for a little extra bank" you can get FAR MORE than a display of eye candy. | |

If I'm willing to part with cash for a little female "attention", so be it. I'm not there to find love, nor sex.... just a little attention. If that made me a little on the sicko side, so be it.
What I don't understand is the way many other females look down on strippers... Scientists, Mathematicians, Business People use their minds. Blue collar workers use their hands. Strippers use their body. And they are using these parts of themselves merely to make a living.

Not really, or at least not for what they are generally supposed to be.
I've had a couple of lapdances in my life, mostly because I was bored and making too much money. One I really enjoyed, because when she was done, she sat in my lap and talked to me. I guess patrons don't usually talk to them as human beings.
