Posted: 6/4/2006 1:46:14 PM | | Take a chance and put your picture back on,everyone has scars,mayebe not physcially but emontionaly.So your not alone,beauty goes much futher than just appearence.you never will know if someone out there won't be bothered by the scars, if you don't try.I know it is easy foe me to say, I had to take my picture off cus too many people contacted me just because I looked good ,since I took my picture off no one is interested in my profile,amazing isn't it. I did have someone write me back without a picture, put more stock in that then the others.so you see either way, take a chance you may find just the right one and he may not be reading this forum. | |

It has not bothered me in the past and I can't see it ever becoming an issue. Personally, bad breath is far worse in my opinion. Forget about it! | |

The worst I have ever heard is "Wow! Did you have a really bad accident?" "Did it hurt?" Stuff like that. No one has ever been put off. I have even had a guy tell me that guys like girls with scars. He explained it in evaluational terms. But it made sense. I don't bother to tell people I have a bunch of scars unless it comes up. There just seems to be no reason, it has never even occurred to me. Just be yourself and don't give any thought to your scars. No one else is giving them any thought...........unless they are REALLY shallow!!! | |

When I first saw it, I cried for days, but I realized after a while that, hey I got a second chance at life,I'm alive and they got all the cancer.I"m a survivor. I don't know how the majority of men feel about scars,if they find them replusive or not, but who cares how they feel. If a guy can only see whats on the outside, then maybe they're not worth your attention either. | |

God I have a scar thats kinda of wide and long ( starting just below the middle of my boobs, ending just a touch above my belly button ) People aren't perfect, some needed surgery to get better, be repaired ect.... It shows many things, and one thing I believe .... The natural instinct for human survival, and the amazing tech. that allows us to live....
without my scar, I wouldn't be here | |

Posted: 12/1/2006 12:44:54 PM | heII we all have scars hon... but you know something... I'd rather meet someone that has the physical ones from surgeries etc than the emotional ones :)...
I too have a very bad scar from a cancer surgery 12 years ago massive tumor 18 lbs/ and 22 hour's on the O.R. table....... but for all the hang-ups I have over it...it's my "life scar"... with out it I would be dead..

Posted: 12/1/2006 12:52:42 PM | Twelve separate surgeries in 5 years here. Plus scars from childhood when I went through the glass in the front door and tore my arms to pieces. I don't notice them myself so I don't worry about someone else noticing them. They are just part of who I am.
I can't remember who mentioned some would look at it as a strength but  to that! | |

Posted: 7/19/2008 2:28:39 PM | I was a bit of what you call a tomboy as a kid..while the little girls were off playing hop skip jump I would be on the monkey bars, climbing trees..well you get the picture.
I got scars head to toe from all that..and just this past Jan. got a skate in the forehead receiving three stitches.
Its not a big deal really. | |
