| Valentines POf & Wedding Party February 10th at 5pm... Posted: 2/6/2007 3:11:27 PM | The correct info is that the happy couple can't get married in the bar as there is alcohol on the premises so it has to be done at the church....We all will be arriving at 6 or close to it....The ceremony can no longer be done at the establishment in question hence why Commonsens keeps changing the opening information...I am useless on the computer....

| Valentines POf & Wedding Party February 10th at 5pm... Posted: 2/6/2007 7:16:06 PM | OMG............
FIRST OF ALL:
-Date: NEVER changed -Hour for the party NEVER changed -Location of the party NEVER changed etc etc etc , as for party goes: NOTHING as changed; no there still NO caviar or lobster for 10$ like "some" complained (as usual).
"Others" complained that it was all about a wedding and nothing about a POF party; therefore I simple changed the LAYOUT of the post to put the enphasis on the PARTY side.
As the wedding part goes, the PASTOR refuse to do a wedding in a place where they sell/serve alchool (is there a law about that, I wont be surprised); and told me at the last minute, So, again, we concentrate on the PARTY or "public" side of it. Am sorry, but I just want to get married, simply as the simple person that I am.
And no: Even if Marcus Frind makes 453 876.37$/months just with the adds from Google in Plentyoffish; he refused to contribute anything to his own POF party, not even a dime or a t-shirt and NO I do not make a cent (in fact, am PAYING for this party); so if someone wants to complain ,again, please send me a check first after you sent me a private message.
Now i will try to get at least 30 minutes of sleep before I collapse.
And yes Vito, I ended up completly naked on stage at Pare..those girls knows at to do a real bachelor! LOL!

Valentine Day History There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day.
Some experts state that it originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries.
Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him.
In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine.
Personally...just another excuse to make florists risher and to increase our chances of getting diabetes and caveties.....
But then again, I am a cynic....

It's true though, V-day became pretty commercial just like x-mas, halloween... etc. Anyways, if it gives us a good excuse to party or have a good time one way or another, i'm up for it ! lol
Did anyone noticed that V-day is also the one night of the year with the most events organized for singles ? Vito, do you have any historic stories on how it started ? lol just kidding.

No I dont, and my post was to show that this legend has only partially a "love-puppy" origin, and even then its a myth.
Frankly, I was never a big fan of this day....if you really love (whatever that means) someone, why wait until Feb 14 to show them......And Ladies....where is it written that the gifts only go one way????? I like chocolate too !!!

Posted: 2/8/2007 6:31:34 PM | I don't think we should party for a commercial holiday....valentine's day has always been a bad holiday for me......so im just coming to have some fun and ignore the fact that there's a reason why everyone is so lovey.....lol
Besides....was it really ever a religious holiday? Does anyone really know?
