I have written stories, and it's interesting that in fiction, the creation of characters is really a compilation of many characteristics observed in others. You even take what someone looks like and inject many different personality traits into that "body." The look of the character is manipulated to reflect the personality so that it can be illustrated with the words.

It's not surprising then that we sometimes have a romantic view of real lovers in history as being beautiful people. Princes, princesses, kings, queens, movie stars, etc. For love is beautiful and therefore, if it is a great love, it must be coming from someone in those categories.

We never think of great love as being resident in trolls, goblins, or other uglies. Hey, it's 3:00 in the morning and I can't sleep, so my thoughts are all over the place here. Do you think someone evil like Saddam Hussain could have ever loved someone deeply? How about someone deeply depressed like Edgar Allen Poe? How about those involved in crime? Is there a side in everyone capable of loving greatly or does the bad side remove that entirely from them?

Conjecture is often the seed of a stimulating conversation, or not! Perhaps the people mentioned above had their transient glimpses of love, or a lustful moment disguised in self-deception. What would an existentialist say? It seems in our common concept of reality that we cannot love and hate at the same time, although we can weigh the pros and cons of our position, and homogenize it as a single emotional summary. For those who cannot, we often see a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Can we be happy and sad at the same time, mad and serene, or loving and hateful?

Depression is a different sort of demon, in that it has been labeled as "masked", major, clinical, ad nauseum. Grief is a form of depression, and a byproduct of love lost, so was Lenore a lost love or a dream unfound? Could it be that one's favorite lovers in history are those that survive in a world only existentialists can describe? Beat me.

roflmao, don't all theories in geometry say that a line requires at least two points?????

of course, if you have a mother, sister, or friend, they count too, because all the women in your life are nuts in one way or another.......(or at least in my life, lol)

Hmmm, I'd have to say, Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun......
Mostly her, because there's a woman who had to overlook some tremendous faults (EEK!) and still stand by his side, not to mention that silly little mustache.......

See, I focused and actually stayed on topic.......
