Posted: 1/29/2007 11:39:26 PM | I set up a paid profile on Yahoo Personals, then the system wouldn't let me upload a picture, do searches or send e-mails because I didn't have a picture up. I cancelled out on day 3 of the 3 day money back guarantee.
No services rendered, I'm not paying for the service.
I probably wouldn't have done that last google search that showed POF if Yahoo's system hadn't crashed my account. (or if they had just extended the 3 days until it was fixed...) | |

And yes I noticed peolpe also tryed to burn off my minutes also...a real scam.Lava sent me message this past week to say I still had credits and I had not been there for months.Since a lady told me about POF 3 months ago,I never went back,even with credits still there.I am very involved with Events and meeting great people.

Posted: 1/30/2007 12:55:20 AM | was a member of Loopylove, girls date for free and match never met anyone through the first 2 met 1 lady through match (didn't last ) and then was told about POF joined in Oct 05 and have made loads of friends and now met a lovely lady on here who i think the world of, so thanks to POF.
and no i wouldn't pay again as the other sites are a total rip off! and no one replies so why waste money | |

I refuse at any time to pay for meeting people.
The thing with dating sites is that it's just a method of advertising yourself, to be contacted and contact others.
With POF it's not just an advertisement site, it's a worldwide community. I don't care that I've not been very successful in finding a date, I've made loads of friends, some in my own area and we're getting together for a POF meet.
Not many dating sites where that can actually happen.

Posted: 1/30/2007 3:05:57 AM | Yes, I am a current member of Match.com, of course I joined before finding out from a friend about Plenty Of Fish though. And actually, as to my surprise, when I least expected it to happen, I believe the True Love of my whole life just bumped into me on there 2 weeks ago, & is headed my way now as I speak by plane. I believe in "keeping your options open" with dating sights, just as you keep your options open to different people when trying to find your SoulMate or your True Love. For the simple fact that no matter what!...you just never know who you, or another person may just bump into!!! It could be the True Love of your whole Life, & change your whole Life forever! You just never know unless you try new and/or different things. Most of the time it's just by chance, so take chances, and who knows what might happen. All dating sites are just like Grocery Stores, never know who you're gonna bump into, or someone may just bump into you. Best way I can explain it anyway. And remember, that $$$ isn't an issue at all when it comes to your True Love! I thought spending the 90$ at match.com was crap,  cuz anyone hardly talked to me off there, and I hardly ever got replies for almost 4 whole months. But right at the beginning of the 4th month, that's when it all happened. MaGiC that is! And if you ask me, MaGiC is everywhere, you just have to be at the right place/site, at the right time, and just do what you do. Have a little patience, a little faith, and see what happens!
