Then when your membership expires, they try & entice you to re-subscribe in less than honest ways. They don't have near the functionality as POF and the people here are WAY nicer! (Not to mention LOCAL!) | |

Posted: 1/30/2007 5:16:52 AM | I've been a paying member on a dating site before and while POF's free service is arguably second to none, I've found the paying dating sites' (The Decent ones) environment, a lot more mature and civil.
Like all things free, POF is open to all comers, and has been open to abuse. Fake profiles, fake pictures and all sorts have the run of the place and it makes it a lot more tedious for genuine people to use the site for its intended purposes.
If POF charged a token fee, I'll still be a member and I believe it will weed out most of the undesireables. But for now...I like it free | |

I'm a member of a few free sites and don't get the response with them. Cupid is unique in that the women can join free, respond to emails free, so the men pay.....and it's not expensive. | |
