So I wonder if maybe I'm more of a minority in this opinion. I don't care what others do, but there is NO WAY I'm calling someone Daddy. Ewwww. I'm 42 ~ "Daddy" to me makes me think of someone in his 60s. That is just not at all my thing. | |

to them its a power thing -- like when they go out in the dessert or up in the air ( such as in the movie independance day ) they call each other daddy and the "plat daddy " is the platoon leader
Im not saying all military men do but it seems to be the norm for them

I have called my ex Daddy (not my real father) and I seriously NEVER thought of my actual father when I did so. And my ex called me Mami (and mamasita) and I never thought he was envisioning his mother 
I agree with a previous poster, how many are creeped out by "baby"? Maybe it is a cultural thing, I am not sure. But for you men out there, if a woman calls you Daddy-unless she has some serious issues and I think it would become evident before very long-she means that you have control, you are dominant, take charge, spank her, grab her hair, etc. There are still some women out there who love that!  | |
