Law enforcement; "Want to cuff me?", what a turn-off. Got any idea who those cuffs were on just before you asked? Some Hep-C/HIV-Positive heroin freak that hasn't bathed in two weeks. Besides, handcuffs are very thin pieces of cold, hard, semi-sharp metal. They hurt! (Ask me sometime about 1-inch tubular nylon webbing though...).
Firefighter; this avocation has probably lost me more girlfriends than it ever got me. Started dating a real nice girl at the beginning of the year. Second date, serious trauma call, 20 minutes late. Fourth date, trailer fire, 2 hours late. She was insistent she see me as soon as I cleared the call, so no time for a shower. Yuk! Broke up with me the next day. Last Sunday, going to a girl's family picnic. Put my food in the truck, toned out to assist local paid department on a forest fire. 3 hours late. That went over big. Especially since I get there without showering and wearing a pair of shorts and notice I have "ring around the legs". Smoke/soot line from where my boots stop up to where my shorts started, from byproducts of combustion going up the legs of my brush pants.
EMT; Yeah, right. Every nice female I ever met as an EMT was either bleeding or vomiting!
Military; wasn't bad but you're competing with 10,000 other guys dressed the same as you for the only girl in the bar!
Females in uniform; I've seen some seriously nice BDU pants, but generally female uniforms, especially polyester uniform pants on police officers, look like hell. Scrubs aren't that great, normally baggy. Give me business attire with a skirt and blouse any day! | |

I do love women in uniform too! But when it comes to nurses uniforms, they are awful today. Gone are the days of a nurse in all white...a dress, white hose, white cap and shoes. Now that was pure and sexy! But these scrubs they wear today....

I just cant help my self when i see a man in uniform. I try not to go for looks but when you see a nice shaped man in a uniform I go crazy (ha ha).
My question is how many others are like me especially women.
Can anyone help me get over this.
In my six and a half years as an Air Force officer I never had any luck with dating. Ah well. | |
