I don't think you are taking into account the stigma attached to smoking crack. You've OBVIOUSLY never watched someone smoke crack or meth out of a light bulb....if you had, you wouldn't even ask the question.



There are many other drugs delivered intravenously that would produce the desired effect that you are talking about.

No because even though I have never done it I am told and or have observed people whose high lasts only 15 minutes whereas morphine has a longer lasting effect. Or even real coke.

I also got addicted to bennies (beans...whatever) in 1980 and did do speed and black beauties on the weekends for about 6 months in 1981. Some people tell me it's the same thing but I beg to differ because one amount lasted a very long time.

[1982 was my first entire year clean from that mess and it's now my 25th anniversary BTW]

The similarity though is that coming down brings huge ugly depressive mood swings and other physical symptoms that I can't imagine would be pleasant for anyone easing their way out in palliative care.

I guess the only exception would be if the person was already addicted to crack but that's probably one good reason why I shouldn't be the person making determination.

I'd be cracking open bottles of Dom and cognac and what not...no, I don't think so.

I was sitting down with two fellas a few years back oh about 10 or so they were smoking crack. I was drinking a fifth of jack, one of em says to me "Your gonna die..Drinking that sh*t." I says "Your gonna die before me.." Three days later the guy is rounded a bend in Lompoc, Ca. In his little Ford Ranger his gal, and a friend beside him, under the infulence of crack and they hit a van head on. The van was packed 11 or 12 people the driver of the van also on crack...One person lived it was the worse car accident in S.B. County history.

Why does it have to be crack though? Why not just the cocaine itself. As for those arguing that cocaine is an upper... not always. For some, cocaine will actually give one a calming effect. Actually, they often refer to Ritalin as "cocaine for children" since both are stimulants that can have a calming effect in some people. The one thing that cocaine does that might help a patient through his last few days, is it numbs you to anything "bad" that might be happening in your life. Would I want a dose of coke on my death bed? Well if I'm dying I can't get addicted now can I? lol Anyway, I do agree with one of the posters who said that there are a lot of fun legal drugs that can be given to patience to help ease their transition from life to death... so why go there... Besides I know the most fun I ever had on drugs was in a Dentist chair when I had my Wisdoms removed. I believe it was demorol or something similar... Good Times! lol

True enough. I'm allergic to it and there's no quicker way to put a damper on your party than to attempt to give me some without knowing it...not unless you want to get the rest of your beverages for the night from the vending machine in the emergency department of your local hospital.

Lots of people throughout history have been allergic to coke, codiene, and morphine...all no-no's when I get an operation. Extra strength Tylenol is a real bummer let me tell you depending on what the doc had in store for you prior.
